I made this announcement on the Wolverine Forums today. (http://www.wolverinestudios.com/forum/showthread.php?p=46906#post46906) I feel great and guilty all at the same time. Note to publishers, don't return my calls when I get make the next course change. I have a history :)

Anyway, I will now be devoting ALL my development time to moving the free version of PureSim forward.

The free version of PureSim will live here moving forward. (http://www.suldogstudios.com)

Thanks and please don't flame me :) Free is the right thing for PureSim now and moving forward. I had strung people at Wolverine along long enough, to the point where my on again off again exploits were dammaging their brand.

So, will this just be developed as a hobby? Some sort of cost built in?

You seem like a true stand up guy, Shaun. Good luck with everything.

Yep, and that's why it feels so fun again. I'll be continuing to add new features incrementally. Pure freeware, no costs built in.

You'll build up a nice following by doing this, but not much of a bankroll. :) Love the idea of incremental updates to smooth out any bumps in the game.

Wow. Dissapointed and enthusiastic at the same time.

Dissapointed that there won't be a DDS:BB. Enthusiastic that PureSim will live on as a solid offering.

Happy for you Shaun that you rediscovered the "passion" or the "right feel" or whatever it was. And happy that you have a real job such that you can make a decision like that without adversely affecting your situation.

Looking forward to more PureSimming going forward now!

I wonder if Joe Stallings can be recruited to take over DDS BB

Well yes, there will be a DDS:PB (pro basketball - version 2 in fact) :D

But nobody said there would not be a DDS:BB - it just won't be Shaun's game :)

Goodness. I forgot about that mess. Has anyone heard anything about him since?

Daivid Winters would add maximum customizability!!!

He probably "designed" a couple of shapes in the interface.

Wow! Well at least he get a chance to promote Maximum Football 3 while at the same time trying to influence game reviewers to slam the competition's product. I will never forget the moment when druez dropped the bomb on Joe Stallings for his shady practices back in the day.

Absolutely - Shaun is a great guy. He's helped with coding my games in the past for nothing, we exchange ideas, talk games...none of that is changing. The only thing changing is he wants to do it for free and on his own time and didn't feel either one would be fair to Wolverine. The guy has a crazy workload (I thought mine was bad) and doesn't want PureSim to be another "job" - can't blame him for that. Bottom line - everything's cool, we're still friends and you need to go download Puresim. Best free game available today.
