No one is asking if she's "cute" or "classically beautiful" or anything like that (which in my opinion she is also, but that's not really the point). I've always interpreted a tattoo on a woman a bit differently. Take a 'tramp stamp' for example. It's not so much how it makes her look, but it's a statement that she is 'open for business', if you know what I mean.

Ya, tattoos don't add any points, they can only take some away in my opinion.

On average, I'd say they don't hurt all that much, even a girl with a lot of tattoos I wouldn't hold against her (or even tattoos in traditionally naughty spots). But some types of tattoos are major deductions in the hot department:

- Names: I don't want to read a list of your past boyfriends

- Ugly tats: a plain terrible tattoo is just going to get a laugh and get me slapped, but I'm sorry, can't help it if you have an Alf tattoo on your hip. (just an example, never actually happened)

- Tattoos covering important features: if i can't see your face because you got some tribal print on it, sorry, I take away points for getting too heavy with the makeup (hate plastic look), outright obscuring your features just sucks.

Piercings also don't add anything in my opinion, and the more extreme forms can be detractions (bars in your skin, through your nose, whatever, I don't want to see metal I want to see a woman).


All that said, I'm not denying that there may be a woman out there with tattoos that actually make her hotter. I just have no idea what form those would be, particularly because I think natural is more attractive (see my comments earlier about MF, the tan look just seems too makeupy, although the video helped with that... photos often make people look more artificial to me).

I don't see anything on her that turns me off, maybe I need more photos though!

I do think age is a factor, I used to crush on teenage looks when I was a teenager and in college, now they look like kids to me (including most 21 year olds) and are not as attractive (not in a 'fear of jailbait' sense, they literally are not as hot as I would have seen them 7 years ago).

Do we need a Bea Arthur or or not for you?It makes a difference because when I was younger the hot chicks did not have tatoos, only the ugly biker-chick types. (Before someone takes that out of context, I do not mean that all biker chicks are ugly.) The younger generations have made tatoos/piercings acceptable and, as some people have mentioned, even desirable.

And re: your Bea Arthur comment, you have your statistics wrong. There is an inverse correlation between age and appeal. If I was/could be in the market, 20-somethings would be WAY higher on my list than 40 year-old divorced soccer moms. (Or 70 year-old grannies.)

And the poll was Hot or Not. Is MF doable? Yes. But I think that she is overrated, so Not, at least by my definition.

I am not a big fan of tattoos, just depends where they are on the woman's body. Too many of them is just a turn off. Sleeves are an automatic turn off for me.
