What was U2's last great album?

Fuck U2 with a giant Sea trout. Terrible Terrible music. I've lived through their entire existence and I cringe every time I hear their songs played.

Definitely they have had some big hits but as for a hit album that has abunch of great hits/songs not in a long long time unfirtunately. I voted FOR THE Joshua Tree and I think their greatest album of alltime was The Unforgettable Fire . I real lost a lot of interest in U2's music after they sold out to MTV and went "Mainstream" with whatever came after Joshua turning away from their roots some what IMHO and many others.

I went with Achtung Baby, though I've never been a huge fan of U2. I'm actually torn as to whether or not Achtung Baby was a "great" album. The Joshua Tree is probably a better album the more that I think about it. However, unlike a lot of rock bands, they've at least still come up with some catchy singles as they grew older.

A-Baby is a great story through songs. Just a couple going through major problems of lust, temptation, passion, trust and commitment.

over the years Joshua tree sounds more dated than the Unforgettable Fire.

i really wrestled with getting tickets for this tour. i got lucky and was able to get floor seats at face value. don't think i would go if i had to pay extra

I went with Achtung Baby. I've liked all of their records, but since Achtung Baby they've ranged from pleasant to very good, but not "great".
