I'm turning to FOFC for some help.
Whenever, my heat kicks on it gets really loud, like I can't hear the TV loud. It is coming from the return.
Any thoughts on what might be causing it.

Is it a vibration sound or mechanical sound?

It's not a vibration, sounds more like an engine running.

Where is the blower located? I'd start from there and work outwards. It certainly sounds like the fan or motor is messed up.

Yeah, this is good advice.

Thanks. The unit is in the basement. Anything in particular I should look for?

Just try to see if you can isolate the source of the noise, then go from there.

I wouldn't be surprised if the blower just needs to be cleaned. Or it needed to be cleaned and now needs to be replaced.
