Question about US Citizen Oath

One of the guys that I have worked with for the last 3 years or so passed his citizenship test today. He'll take the oath in the next 30-60 days.

My question is, is the ceremony when his takes the oath something I can attend? Is it appropriate for me to attend?

Pretty sure it's an open event. I attended the ceremony when a friend took their oath.

Most of the discussions about this that I turned up with a quick Google seem to indicate that the answer depends upon the office/person giving the oath and/or what type of ceremony it is (group vs private, etc). I'd recommend checking with the office that will be administering the oath directly to confirm.

Yes you may..When I took my oath in court, my HS let my friends go so I had 10 or so friends there...A lot of people will have family there. It might have changed since the mid 80's but I doubt it....
