Do not buy this bottle.
It is pretty. However instead of doing what would have been very nice by putting a cork in the bottle, or expected with a standard screw-top, some smart guy at Johnnie Walker put a cheapo plastic pourer inside the screw top.
When I opened it, it wouldn't pour. Shaking the bottle allowed some to exit, but not enough. At the bottom of the metal band was a second ring that looked like it would open when twisted, but i wa shaving trouble with it. Out came the Xacto knife. The whole top came off & there is no way to reseal it.
So as beautiful as the bottle is, the standard black label scotch is now in a standard black label bottle.

Also, don't drink Scotch tape, thinking it's going to be the same thing as Scotch. Very different imo

And don't drink butterscotch candies. You might choke on one of those, thinking its liquor.

I wonder if scotch tape may fix it...
In all seriousness, has anyone used one of those nice stainless steel wine stoppers in a liquor bottle? I'm wondering if that might save the bottle. (I buy the 1.75 liter bottles & fill the smaller ones.)

A wine stopper or even an ordinary cork should work. If not go get a pour spout, bit you could convince a bartender to give you one if you make it worth their while.

What, you don't drink it all in one sitting?

Smells like a challenge.
Does the bottle cost more than the usual 750ml?

I drink alone, yeah, with nobody else.
I drink alone, yeah, with nobody else.
Yeah, you know when I drink alone, I prefer to be by myself.
Now, every morning, just before breakfast,
I don't want no coffee or tea.
Just me and my good buddy Weiser.
That's all I ever need.
Cause I drink alone, yeah, with nobody else.
I drink alone, yeah, with nobody else.
Yeah, you know when I drink alone, I prefer to be by myself.
Now, the other night I lay sleeping,
And I woke from a terrible dream.
So I called up my pal, Jack Daniels,
And his partner Jimmy Beam.
And we drank alone, yeah, with nobody else.
We drank alone, yeah, with nobody else.
Yeah, you know when I drink alone, I prefer to be by myself.
Well, the other night I got invited to a party,
But I stayed home instead.
Just me and my pal Johnny Walker,
And his brothers Black and Red.
And we drank alone, yeah, with nobody else.
We drank alone, yeah, with nobody else.
Yeah, you know when I drink alone, I prefer to be by myself.
Well, my whole family done give up on me,
And it makes me feel so bad.
The only one who'll hang out with me
Is my dear old Granddad.
And we drink alone, yeah, with nobody else.
We drink alone, yeah, with nobody else.
Yeah, you know when I drink alone, I prefer to be by myself.

I've used a wine stopper on a liquor bottle, and it worked fine.
