Shalom. So in our new place, the layout of the living room is a little wacky, and it's nearly impossible to have it set up any differently. What the result is, is the TV is in the corner, while the couch sits pretty far away and faces out towards the lanai (that's like a balcony for you mainlanders). There's also a loveseat, but it's clear across the other side of the room and isn't really the best for playing games. If you sit on one side of the couch, the gaming is pretty good. Everything is big enough that you can see it, and you don't feel hindered by distance. Still, you're not facing directly towards the TV, so I've kicking around ideas on ways to sit comfortably while being close to the TV. My wife mentioned one of those gaming chairs this morning, and it set bells off in my head.

Does anybody have any experience with gaming chairs? They run between $75-$200 depending on what you get. Some look pretty comfortable, but again it's hard to tell without sitting in one. Most of them are "online only" which means I'm going to have to buy it without sitting in it. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I use a pair of old, broken office chairs (the legs broke but the top is ok)

cost: FREE ;)

Unfortunately I can't offer up much in the way of reviews, but I'd be curious to see what you're considering as I could use one myself.

Walmart has it out here for $99.

I bought a $10 fold-out chair at Target. Works great.

I bought something similar from BJs a few years ago. It was a wooden frame with padding / fabric, and the problem was within a few months the padding started wearing down and it felt like I was sitting on wood. Aside from that, they weren't bad.

Main thing I suggest is if you get one with arms make sure they fold up in case you have a fat ass... Not that I have any of these chairs. I just have a fat ass.

I have one. They are pretty comfortable but your legs can get sore after awhile.

I own the exact one you linked to. I'll pretty much echo what others have said. Long gaming sessions can cause sore legs. (I'm 6'3" with long legs) I haven't had any padding trouble with mine. I've even drug it into a corner and read a book on the chair. If the padding did wear down, I would purchase another one. I've had mine for a little over a year and it's been well worth the money.

Thanks gents...excellent info. I'm 5'10 and weigh 150 lbs soaking wet. My legs wouldn't be sore if I sat on metal for 48 hours straight. I'll probably pick this bad boy up next week and let you know how it goes. I figure worst case scenario is I can just return it.

Also, Pumpy wins. Suckers.

Hey , get two so when I come over and have 6 hour gaming sessions I don't have to sit on the floor. Geez man think of the friends. cool, glad it's not a problem.

lol... nah but good choice I own a similar one but its a lesser model and a few years old. does the trick. The sound on these guys isn't the greatest though, but I'm sure you won't be using the speakers built in.
