PS3 WTF!!!???!!!

Playing The Show and went to check for new rosters. When I went to sign online it said that I needed to go update the system (not the game but thesystem). I went through the steps to update and after it downloads the update and restarts. After it restarts I get a screen with update information which says to press X to continue or O to cancel. It also has a message press PS button to use controller. The controller was on and had the light for being controller one. Problem is that it wouldn't accept any controller input except for the O button.

Hitting the O button gave me a screen that asked if I wanted to abort the update and No was highlighted but it would not allow me to move the highlight to yes so No was my only choice.

That brought me right back to the first screen with the same problem.

I have tried both controllers with the same result.


WTF!!!???!!!!

negative...I know there was an update a week or two ago that was giving some people issues. I don't think there's been anything else since then though. I could be mistaken, but I played MLB just an hour ago.

Have you tried resetting the console?

I had video issues one time and I found a suggestion online about resetting the console.

I think you held the power button down until it beeped or something. I don't remember exactly because it was 2 years ago.

Tried yet again today and it finally accepted input to get me through the update.

Yay!

Beware for anyone that hasn't updated to 3.3x yet. The PS3 forums are full of people having all sorts of issues after the update.
