You have to set up a printer that does Print To File Text or something like that.
Then when you click Print on the game screen, do something like C:/1966rosters.txt on the pop-up that comes up.
Open the resulting text file in Notepad.

or open it in Excel and then play around with the format until your happy. Then in future you just have to import the same text file into the spreadsheet and all the formatting will be there.

it can also be a printer "thing" as they were printing out fine but now I switched printers and we are back to lousy formatting

You have to set up a printer that does Print To File Text
install and use the Generic/Text Only printer. To install the Generic/Text Only printer, follow these steps:
1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Printers.
2. Double-click the Add Printer icon.
3. Click the Next button.
4. When you are prompted "How is this printer attached to your computer?" click the Local Printer option button, and then click Next.
5. In the Manufacturers box, click Generic. In the Printers box, click Generic/Text Only, and then click Next.
6. In the Available Ports box, click FILE, and then click Next.
7. When you are prompted "Do you want your Windows-based programs to use this printer as the default printer?" click the No option button, and then click Next.
fyi since for some reason print to file was not an option ---
the above gives you that option and then you can open in notepad and it will print out nicely....
