Hey guys, so I have a problem...

I decided to start a new game (from 08, as the game seems to have updated on me!) and used this (http://operationsports.com/fofc/showthread.php?t=76245) 2010 draft file.

I drafted Ndamukong Suh 5th overall for my 4-3 defence. Thing is, now when I try to sim a game, Suh disappears from my depth chart and I can't go any further (the game saying I have selected a player no longer active on my roster). Suh is active, I can't see the problem - any one have an idea what's gone wrong?

You didn't setup the Depth Chart for all of the Defensive screens.

Open up your roster window, then look to the bottom of the screen...do you see the Basic Defense, Goal Line, Nickle and Dime Defense buttons? You have to make sure a player is slotted in all of those screens or you'll get the error you are receiving in the game.

Yes, I see those screens. I insert Suh on each screen - yet when I try to sim, he is removed from all 4 defensive depth chart screens. I can insert someone else and sim games normally... the problem is definitely Suh. :(

Maybe you have the AI resets depth charts option set to on? (or any other options in that screen to on?)

I had this problem when I tried to add 2010 rookies to a 2009 file. The problem was that in the .csv file I put player ID numbers in for the new players that were already taken by another player in the league. For example, in column A of the .csv file I put say 1877 for Sam Bradford, 1878 for Suh, and so on. Problem was that I hadn't sorted the league by column A so I didn't realize that some of those numbers were already taken. So the game sees Bradford and say, Bernard Pollard as player 1877. You can put him on the depth chart, but as soon as it tries to sim your game it puts Bernard Pollard as your qb. And since he's not on your team it blanks out the position on the depth chart and shows you this error.

It took forever for me to figure this out. Really frustrating. A few days after the draft this year I added all the rookies to someones 2009 file. I also checked every day for months prior for free agent moves and edited the roster accordingly. I ended up saying screw it because the roster was unusable and I couldn't figure out why. The roster I was using had ID numbers all over the place for current players. Around traing camp time I picked it back up to try again. Figured it out in about 10 minutes

Sorry for the long post, but this may have something to do with your problem. Check your .csv for the roster you're using and arrange all your players by column A. See if that column matches up with the line # towards the bottom of the file.
