I was wondering how much time people invest into the draft process. I can't seem to find the balance between being too fast with my research and losing immersion and getting so deep into it that it takes too long and I begin to lose interest.
Any thoughts?
I guess as a part two to this, any strategies you are willing to share? For example, do you usually draft for need or pick the best available player. And depending on that, do you interview differently?
Thanks!
I usually spend about 30 minutes picking who to interview and then whatever time I use when my pick comes up to select a player.
95% of the time, I'll draft the BPA.

Takes me about 15 min to set up my spreadsheets and select who I"m interviewing.
ESPECIALLY early rounds I try to go BPA. Hard to do when sometimes that's a Guard, Center, Fullback or non-skill player but if you settle for someone 1/2 as good at a position of need you never improve the overall talent on your team.
Later rounds, I'll look a bit more for need.

If you are talking SP then i really spend mabee 10 minutes looking at the class as you know what players will be there in each round.
A whole different world for me in MP. I may spend 15 minutes doing interviews but in my multitasking i probably spend 2 hours on the draft.
There is always a sleeper out there....right?
