Neloxian National Anthem
When sun rays crown thy pine clad hills,
And summer spreads her hand,
When silvern voices tune thy rills,
We love thee, smiling land.
We love thee, we love thee,
We love thee, smiling land.

When spreads thy cloak of blinding light,
At summer's stern command,
Thro' beauteous day, and starlit night,
We love thee, sunsoaked land.
We love thee, we love thee
We love thee, sunsoaked land.

When blinding storm gusts fret thy shore,
And wild waves lash thy strand,
Thro' spindrift swirl, and tempest roar,
We love thee windswept land.
We love thee, we love thee
We love thee windswept land.

As loved our mothers, so we love,
Where once they stood, we stand;
Their prayer we raise to the higher places,
God guard thee, Neloxia.
God guard thee, God guard thee,
God guard thee, Neloxia.

INTRODUCTION

The Neloxian Premier League has been in existence since the 2009 season, a decade after the Neloxian Confederacy was formed. Through the vision of C. Pritchell Meyer, the President of the nation and rabid football fan, resources were invested in ensuring a strong youth football program and the hope was, a team able to compete with the most formidable in the world. Meyer believed that if Neloxia could compete on the global athletic stage, it'd lead to increasing the country's influence around the world.

The year is now 2062 and few doubt Neloxia's influence on the global stage. The nation remains an economic powerhouse amongst the world's largest, remains politically non-aligned and focused more on cultivating relations as a financial centre and global trade partner.

Our focus here is on the arena of sport, specifically football. We are currently in the midst of 2062 World Cup being held in South Africa, where the Neloxia team clings to hopes of claiming their first-ever World Cup title. After winning Group B, they have setup a second-round match against defending World Cup champions Haiti.

Here are the results from group play:

Here are the results (http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/WorldCup2062-2.png) from the 2nd round of the 2062 World Cup (That's a link, FYI)

Here are the fixtures for the Quarterfinals:

Past World Cup winners since we got started in 2010 (and before) through now (http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/WorldCup2062-4.png). Just so you know. You are probably wondering about Haiti, right? I'll explain more later, but during one of my test runs I decided to move two Neloxian clubs to the French dependencies of St. Pierre and Miquelon because the U.S. isn't loaded in my universe (I just wanted it to speed, so I didn't let it load more than about 8,000 players or so) and I had this fascination with a Neloxian team in North America.

Anyway, those players would eventually develop and some were good enough to play for France since Neloxian youth teams were developing quite good regens which affected these St. Pierre kids. This annoyed me over time, so I decided to instead switch those clubs to Haiti. Over time, they finally got good enough to compete on a global scale and well, the rest is sort history I guess. Things like that keep it interesting for me and what's reality anyway when we're trafficking in the business of a fictional country anyway, right?

I don't really know how I missed it, but Neloxia has indeed claimed the World Cup before, for the first time in 2022 and again 28 years later.

Here is the Neloxia competition results for the national teams since we began. We have taken ownership of the youth competitions as you can see, which is sort of cool.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/ConfederacyofNeloxia-2.png

I haven't edited any Neloxians since I began, in case you were wondering. I've just simmed straight through for the most part. I've been keeping a very 50,000 ft. view of things in order to reach the point where I'd actually start playing which hasn't happened yet.

Back to the World Cup coverage now. After the World Cup, we'll dive into the Neloxians leagues where I will get you spun on the setup, the dominant teams and how it all works and stuff. It's a doozy, lemme tell ya.

Here are the semi-finals for the 2062 World Cup

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/WorldCup2062-6.png

This is Neloxia's first World Cup semi-final appearance in 12 years. Of course, the last time we came to the semis we won the entire event.

We will, over time, chronicle players worth knowing and such alike. But right now I just want to see what happens in the World Cup, as I believed it to be the proper introduction to a return to Neloxian football for all of us. We'll get into more detail as we go on, because as far as I'm concerned the game year says 2062 but I'm operating like it's 1962 because I want to sim further into the future than we have to get through another 50 years or so of Neloxian football before this dynasty is done.

On to the semis...

Spain seeks their first World Cup since obviously the real life 2010 victory isn't in this version of the game. Oops. Neloxia seeks their third title.

One of the things I figured out with this whole deal was the sensible way to do it is to build the entire country first and then commence with the soccer. That way, you aren't getting incomplete pictures of what the country looks like and then it changes and it's sort of annoying.

So I've just been building and I'll post the pictures of the country and so forth as we go forward. But first, I'll introduce you to the new setup of the professional league and some of the notable teams throughout Neloxia. The landscape is a bit more robust to say the least than our last time out. We're one of the powers of Europe and befitting that status are a number of clubs that you ought to know who are on par with the familiar juggernauts of the continent that we've grown accustomed to over the years.

With that, here is the setup for the Neloxian professional leagues. We have 11 divisions -- 8 in the national setup and 3 in the regional setup. The regional teams can't get promoted past Level 9. (My game is playable down to level 11 FYI) The other eight divisions are broken as follows:

The top three tiers remain the same, with a few teams added:

Premier Division (12 teams): I expanded the NPD by two more teams. Bottom three get relegated. One change from before is now there is a playoff in the Premier Division. The top four teams play in a Championship Semi-Final (1 v 4, 2 v 3) with the winner advancing to the Finals and then the winner being crowned League Champion. I figured it was a way to spice things up a bit and keep them interesting, because just having one team winning it all and that's it is fun but wasn't compelling to me on the whole.

League of Football (10 teams): Expanded The League by two teams. One team gets relegated, down from the massive four from the past. I just decided it was too much of a crapshoot and wanted to provide a bit more stability.

Football Conference (10 teams): The NFC expanded to 10 teams too from eight teams. I just felt it was too small. One team gets relegated from here. To where, you ask?

I've created a new system called the Alliance System to go under the traditional three tiers we've been using. Here's how they work:

Alliance Championship (14 teams): I took a bunch of Northern Ireland teams without logos and integrated them into Neloxia with new names. A few are just created from scratch, but it doesn't matter. The highest level of the Alliance system, the top team gets promoted to the Conference and the bottom team relegated a level.

Alliance Tier One (12 teams): The fifth division is the second tier of the Neloxian Football Alliance system. The bottom four teams in this league get relegated while the top team gets a shot at glory in the NFA Championship.

Alliance Tier Two (12 teams): The top four teams get promoted from Tier two, while the worst two get relegated down.

Alliance Tier Three (17 teams): The two two teams go up, the worst team gets relegated to the lowest level it can go in the alliance system.

Alliance Tier Four (20 teams): The lowest level of the Alliance system is here. The champion of this league gets a chance to try its luck up the Alliance ladder. It'd take you seven years of titles without losing to make it all the way up. Needless to say, I have no idea if that'd ever happen but it'll be fun to watch and see if it can.

Below the Alliance level, we have the Regional level. The Regional level is a three-tier system that effectively operates outside of the Alliance system. It's the former Northern Ireland clubs in their own league within a league, essentially.

Neloxia Regional Premiership (16 teams): The highest level for regional teams to compete at. Almost all are semi-pro or amateur clubs at this level to begin with.
Neloxia Regional Football League (12 teams): The top two teams from the RFL make it to the RFP at the end of 33-game season.
Neloxia Regional Football Conference (10 teams): The lowest level of professional football in Neloxia. Teams below this level play are sanctioned by the Neloxian Amateur Association. We only see them during the FA Cup.

The Cups break down like this:

Neloxian FA Cup: I'm loathe to admit this, but I honestly had no idea that so many teams competed in the English FA Cup. Or at least, I never processed the sheer number of how many compete. One of the nice things Northern Ireland did for us was give us a lot more teams to work with, coupled with the ones I already had. So in a sense, there's no other way I could've done this because I'd have been daunted trying it from the start but doing instead over the past few weeks in the form of a start/restart dynasty has made it more managable.

Anyway, the Neloxian FA Cup has 235 teams. Every team in every division -- even the 90 clubs from the Amateur Association -- are involved in this event. It's so bad ass I can hardly contain myself in how giddy it makes me.

Neloxian FA Prize: This is a new event I created for the top three leagues only. So all the teams from the Division, League and NFC get to participate (32 teams total). It's not nearly as prestigious as the FA Cup, but it's a nice consolation prize that effectively says "we're not in the lower tiers" tournament.

Neloxian FA Bowl: The FA Bowl pits all of the regional teams against each other similar to the Alliance Cup.

Neloxian Alliance Cup: This 75-team tournament takes the teams from the five Alliance tiers and pits them all for a huge payday. It's also a big deal and bettors happen to love this tournament for some strange reason, because around Alliance Cup time fans start checking out these games of the teams more to make fast money.

Settlers Cup: It pits the winner of the FA Bowl against the winner of the Alliance Cup in a two-stage event. That's it. Who wins isn't even that important, as much as being there. The bragging rights are nice for the Regional clubs, as this is pretty much their Super Bowl and Champions League into one.

Grand Final: The winner of the Regional Premiership plays the winner of the Neloxia Premiership playoff for ultimate bragging rights.

Shield of Neloxia The winner of the Regional League gets pitted against the winner of the 2nd division Football League of Neloxia.

Palm of Neloxia The 3rd division NFC winner plays the champ of the 11th division RFC.

Did you guys get all of that?! Now I'm going to move on to talking about various teams at each level.

When I was doing this the first time, I wanted to invite you all to participate. But I too busy fleshing it all out. But I thought about it and now I think it makes sense to do it. So here's what I'm thinking:

I'll go ahead and start posting the different cities, so you can get a feel of what Neloxia looks like now. Some of you already have a sense, but there are more cities now, it's grown a lot and as I've said, the story is more fleshed out than it was when we began because we're not as young a nation.

In any case, I'd like to help immerse you all into Neloxia by offering you the chance to create your own Neloxian regen. I'll edit a regen for you based on your specifications based on the following criteria:

Name:
City of Birth: (if you have a preference)
Second Nationality: (if you have a preference)
Type of player: Wonderkid, Average, Pro, International, World Class
Favorite team: (same)
Position(s):

If you want to be more detailed than that, go ahead. So I'll chronicle teams and cities over the coming days and feel free to add your player(s) whenever. You can have a player from another country too, if you'd like, just make sure you have at least one Neloxian because well...it'll keep things interesting I think.

So there's the opportunity, feel free to take it. Thanks for reading.

Truth be told, I'm not quite done yet. I mean, the cities that matter and that have been "moved" from the original dynasty are where they need to be, but I haven't completed them yet. It's a process and I don't want to just rush through it so <s>no one</s> <s>a few souls</s> anyone (?) can maybe read about it. But for all intent and purposes, the cities are what they are, it doesn't matter in the grand of scheme of things; it's just nice to be able to visualize a vibrant place once I'm able to tell their story.

Rather than last time where I just bombard you with the cities all at once, we'll visit different cities as we go forward, talking more about the teams and their success and so forth. Or if you just want to see a particular place after reading about a team, let me know.

That said, the country hasn't changed that much. We're close to 2 million people (about 1.6 million now) but the main difference is, whereas when I started I confined myself to just one block on the map, I've spread things out and so cities that were once comprised of a few blocks are now square miles long, which makes things better.

In any case, here are some flyovers of the country as a whole. We'll visit these places in more detail throughout the dynasty as I said previously.

This is Academy Island (http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/ParagonCity-1296449275.png)It's home to all of Neloxia's service academies. Cadets nickname it "The Rock"

This is the Northern part of the country (http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/ParagonCity-1296716795.png), which is largely rural. The largest city is in the northwest corner and is called Vampire Lake (it's where the water is) and they have their own team that currently play in the Neloxian Football Conference (NFC) but once were a Premiership club that advanced to the NPD Championship Game in '18. Smaller teams predominate the area, but most people in these parts root for Marisa-based clubs, as capital television stations are their local channels.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/ParagonCity-1296716813.png
Here is western Neloxia, which is anchored by the city of Alzate, a metropolitan area of nearly 250,000 people as the area around there has grown considerably in recent years and continues to do so.

Here's a nighttime shot of Alzate, it's one of my favorite cities.

We're going to spend some time on the teams now, as it'll be useful for you to know what teams matter and whether it's truly possible or not to rise from the 8th division to become a championship squad on the world's biggest stage (tm) -- The Neloxian Premier Division.

Young Drachma

If you were reading before, most of the teams are the same but some have been renamed. I fixed the Malbonia thing, so they're no longer factored into this dynasty at all. I renamed back to it's original name and moved the two clubs from there back into Neloxia with different names and so, that storyline is done with. Because a few of the clubs I left there in the Malbonia Premier League haven't been deleted, every once in a while you get a good player out of Vanuatu and they have lost the World Cup playoff to the AFC team a few times, but that's about all.

Anyway, let's get to business.

The Neloxian Premier Division or NPD is in its 53rd season. The 12-team circuit plays a 33-game season with the top four teams qualifying for the NPD Championship Series with a semi-final and championship final to be crowned Neloxian Premier League champions for that year. The bottom three teams are relegated without fuss. Like before, we play an unorthodox season from March through September because I don't like seasons to overlap between two years.

Here is the current setup of the league (mostly so you can see their colours) and standings through the halfway point of the '62 season.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/NeloxianPremierDivision-4.png

Here is the list of recent champions over the past near thirty years:

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/NeloxianPremierDivision-3.png

What this little ditty doesn't tell you is the team with the most overall titles is Swenton Town with nine. This owes largely to the fact that they won the first four league titles from 2010-13 and since then won five others, the last coming nearly 24 years ago during the '48 season.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/SwentonTown.png

The gold standard of Neloxian football however belongs to a club called Alzate Capital. They are often jokingly referred to outsiders as "Real Neloxia", owning to the Spanish heritage of the club. They were founded by a bank and have branched out into a variety of industries over the years, but the corporate priority has always been about owning the most globally significant Neloxian football team. The Red and White is an institution.

Alzate Capital is the only team to spend its entire existence in the NPD. No other team can boast that and it's something that fans will consistently remind you of, that their teams is the "only premier team in Neloxia."

It can get old, quick.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/AlzateCapital.png

If you read the prequel, you'll remember Black Tambourine as the plucky underdog who were so popular that the spawned the nation's largest beer craze and were eventually behemoths themselves? Well, Black Tambourine started this time on top owning to that legacy and remain one of Neloxia's most popular football teams.

The team has been relegated to The League five times in their history -- all since 2044 -- and each time, they win the league the following season to make the return trip back to the Premiership.

Fans of Black Tambourine hate the playoff system more than any other, as they've lost in the title game ten times.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/BlackTambourineFO-5.png

You might be wondering if it's possible to rise from Tier Four -- the lowest level of national level football in Neloxia -- to the Premiership. The folks at Centillion will tell you to get on the train and watch how it's done. From 2009-2011, this team labored in the eighth division before rising through the ranks. They didn't make their first NPD appearance until the '20 season and spent about a decade on an elevator back and forth between The League and the NPD, but since '33, they've been a Premiership squad entirely.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/Centillion-4.png

To my knowledge -- and it's not vast yet -- they are the only club to rise from Tier Four to the Premiership in NPD history.

Alzate fans aren't the only arrogant ones in Neloxian football. There's plenty of that to go around. Cerise would like to remind you that there is another team with as many NPD titles as Swenton Town and it's them. Cerise is a team located in the capital of Marisa and are the fan favorite not just of that metropolis, but of the whole country. They've been relegated to The League just once in their history, the '23 season when they went down and won to be promoted back to the following year.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/Cerise-4.png

BNN are an upstart club who have seen recent success.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/BroadcastNetworkofNeloxia.png

BNN spent the first six years of their history in Tier Three and eventually another five in the NFC. Their first NPD season wasn't until '27 and yo-yo'd back and forth between the League and NPD up until the 2050 season. This marks their 12th straight NPD season and they've claimed four titles -- their first four -- during that span. The upstart has arrived, friends.

Academia Cromwell is one of the best universities in the country and their rival is University of Schell.

Hellsbath United have won five NPD titles in their history and have only spent five years out of the league in their history.

Embassy of Football have never played lower than the second division, but in their history have never finished higher than seventh in the NPD when they've managed to get promoted there from the League.

Neloxiant is the club formerly known as Orion Protectorate if you were following along in the original dynasty. They began in the NPD, finishing 5th that first season and since that time the best finish club has ever mustered is 9th. They've spent just one season below the League level.

Upton Park is a section of Marisa and their team has fallen a bit on hard times over the past few years. They've won the NPD five times in their history, but have spent seven years at the league level over the past ten years.

The Football League of Neloxia or simply "The League" is quite the composition of teams.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/LeagueofFootballNeloxia-4.png

Here you have teams that end up boasting a massive amount of success, paired with rising stars who are up their way up and a few teams that just get trapped and as a result, Neloxian clubs are quick to say that the most competitive football in the world is being played in the league because "no one who plays there wants to be there."

It is a 27-game dogfight. Like all Neloxian leagues, five points are awarded for a win and one for a draw.

The most accomplished club at the moment are a team that spent fifty years out before having to return. Downham & Bradfield Railway or better known as Men of Iron.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/DownhamBradfieldRailway.png

They've claimed four NPD titles over the years and have been championship game runner-up a staggering 12 times. Still, they've been stuck in a rut for four years and counting where they're unable to finish high enough to head back towards their rightful place as they see it, with the teams of the NPD.

Kings Avenue are an odd duck club. Through the '21 season they were playing in Tier Four and by the '28 season they did what everyone hopes to do -- seven tiers in seven years to claim their seat the big kids table in the NPD.

Just three seasons ago they parlayed a 4th place finish into a playoff victory and the NPD title and now they find themselves away from the glory and seeking a shot back upwards.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/KingsAvenue.png

Hetfield United won two NPD titles in the 20s ('23, '26) and are effectively an elevator club.

New Kongisberg Brewery have been in the NPD two different times ('18, '61) and are another team that began in Tier Four and worked their way up, which I guess by now you all realize is a lot more doable than it might seem, eh?

Enclave was a juggernaut team in the previous iteration of this dynasty but this time? They're a minnow. Their last NPD season came in '15, many moons ago for beleaguered fans who want a taste of the big time.

Harland & Wolff made their NPD debut during the '59 season before being relegated.

Shipwreck claimed the '52 NPD title and eight years later were toiling in the NFC. (3rd division) Now they are on their way back up. Or are they? Despite this, the majority of their history has been spent in the Premiership.

Anno Domini or A.D. to those in the know, have 12 total seasons at the NPD level and their best finish has been ninth. They've spent the bulk of their existence in the League.

True Believers are officially known as the Missionary Football Organisation of True Believers. The team is a division of the True Believers religious sect, one of the largest Christians denominations in Neloxia. Their fans are very devoted and some men joke that they became True Believers because they knew they'd meet a woman who loved football. They've won the Neloxian FA Cup twice ('14, '57), but claim just one NPD season in their history ('32). They began in the 4th division Football Alliance Championship and have never played lower than that.

City Hall University United or simply City Hall are a Marisa-based team who last played in the NPD in '57, making their debut during the '42 season. They've spent seven wobbly seasons in all at the top level, their highest finish was 5th. They won the Neloxian FA Cup in '39.

More divisions to come...

I wanted to be done for the night, but I'm really just scratching the surface on some of the bette named teams that are my favorites and so, I needed to introduce a few of them.

The Neloxian Football Conference or NFC is a dogfight, because only one team makes it out of here. It's literally the division where the pretenders get sorted out from the real football clubs who want a shot at glory. The line usually goes "if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere."

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/NeloxianFootballConference-4.png

I had to really mull over the most notable team in the NFC right now, but Vampire Lake probably gets the title. They spent 14 years in the NPD, losing to Men of Iron in the '18 NPD Championship.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/VampireLake.png

They last saw the Premier Divsion in '24, so it's been a while for fans of this club, seeing their once proud squad fall from grace so epically. They last played in the League in '57.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention our namesakes Forest-Overbridge F.C. or better known to fans as FOFC. This teams was actually acquired by an internet message board devoted to buying a football club.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/Forest-OverbridgeFC.png

They were FA Cup runners up in '18, but save for that were mostly minnows. They actually started in Tier Two, waffled around for a while and actually spent a better part of the '40s in Tier Four. Last season was their first-ever season playing in the NFC and after a 5th place finish find themselves there again for the second straight year. Will they someday play at the highest levels? We shall see...

Holdsworth Steel is one of those clubs that everyone always feels like is going to break through and then they don't do it. They've spent seven years in the NPD, the most recent of those just three years ago ('60) but now they're on a freefall that their fans hope will stop at the NFC, as they've never been lower than that.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/HoldsworthSteel-2.png

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/AnthraciteTaxiCompany.png

I'm pretty sure I restarted one of my twenty-odd replays of this db to make sure it was working when I came up with this name. I just couldn't play a long lasting dynasty and not use it when I came up with it.

In any case, they're another one of those clubs that people expect to breakthrough, but it hasn't occurred yet. They've played just one year above the NFC level ('40 in the League) but they have a strong fan base for a lower-level club.

Wheatbridge United spent four years in the NPD, most recently in '24. They last played in the League in '41. But as they say in Neloxian football in regards to the 3rd division and below, "once you get trapped, you never get back."

Cassius City have been FA Cup runners up twice ('53, '58) but have never played higher than the League level; doing so four times, most recently in '54.

Greyhound Neloxia spent the '38 season in the NPD. They spent just one year in Tier Four working their way up to the Conference where they've remained for most of their history. They last played in the League in '43.

Mutual Benefit Society is a team representing one of Neloxia's largest charities. They were a small operation for a long time. They were in Tier Four from '09 to '22 and in Tier Three from '23 to '37. They made their NFC debut in '54 and returned in '60 after a four year hiatus. They've never been higher.

The Arcade Fire demonstrate what happens when you run out of names in your country. They began in the Conference in '09 but only lasted until the '13 season and after that toiled in the lower leagues. It took them 42 years to get back to the NFC, the highest level the club has reached and their highest finish was 2nd in '57.

Neloxian Civil Service won the FA Cup in '48, seven years after their last appearance in the NPD. A historical Tier Four club, they've primarily spent their history in the League, they have five NPD seasons, the last in '41.

You all are welcomed to get involved now. I'll keep posting teams and will chronicle more cities as we go along too, so you know what each of the divisions looks like before we finish this season and so forth, but I'm ready to start adding characters now!

Name:
City of Birth: (Big city, small city, suburb, rural town) and I'll just choose since I know the towns better unless you just know where you want to be from)
Second Nationality: (if you have a preference)

I'd prefer they all be Neloxians, but if you want to create someone who has a 2nd nationality and plays for another country, that'd be fine. Just let me know that.

Okay, so now that we've gone through and covered the divisions that we always had in Neloxia, it's time to dig a bit deeper and head below the 3rd division to the lower leagues.

Before we do that though, let's take a look at the FA Cup recent winners.

The most fun thing about the FA Cup is that it gives teams from the Regional leagues a shot at national glory on the big stage. You can see that Lisburn Distillery lost in the FA Cup to Kings Avenue back in '59, but have Regional teams ever won it all?

Yes. The first FA Cup was won by Coleraine, a regional premiership team at the time in 2009, that was the only year two Regional clubs made it all the way to the end. (Part of this was because most Neloxian upper clubs had pieced together rosters since they were all created and the Regional clubs from the former Northern Ireland did). In 2037, Glenavon won the FA Cup.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/NeloxianFACup-3.png

Alzate, Black Tambourine and Cerise have won the most FA Cups with five.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/NeloxiaFootballAllianceChampionship.png

So here we go. The 4th tier in the Neloxian football pyramid is the Alliance Championship. Fourteen teams duking it out with only one team able to escape out -- well, with one other escaping in the other direction.

The team worth noting is one of my pet projects - Carcajou (http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/CarcajouLAmriqueFC.png). The Wolverines were originally based in St. Pierre and Miquelon which in my head I'd take over from France. Except, all of the regens there would eventually play for France since it's a french dependency. This was fine for a while, until I realized Neloxian football was churning out some damn good regens. So I decided to intervene and I moved Carcajou to Haiti in some sort of bizarre reparations scheme in my head. Plus, I didn't load many countries in the game, so I discovering putting the stadiums of inconsequential clubs in other countries would generate regens from those countries and make my game a bit more interesting. There are already too many Neloxians to begin with.

So anyway, Carcajou has never played above the 3rd division and only did that once. Still, they have a huge local following.

The most notable club in this division is probably FCI or Five Cities Insurance who began in the NPD and spent a total of eight seasons in that league, most recently in '28.

City of Claire are back in the Alliance Championship for their second year after a 48-year hiatus. They were bridesmaides four times in this league during the 10s and are still looking for their first bid to the NFC.

Vonjo Athletic had two third place finishes in the NFC during the '50s at their peak.

Fitzpatrick Cheese Company have won some minor trophies throughout their history and have claimed this league twice ('28, '35) but last played in the NFC during the '40 season and their best finish there in seven seasons was 4th in '37.

Magnolia Electric Company of Sheldon began in the League in 2009, but were out by '19 and didn't return until '58 and only then for one season. They were the FA Cup runners up in '16.

University of Sophia play in that city. FA Cup runners up in '17 and their highest run was five consecutive NFC seasons in the mid 20s, ending in '27.

There's no NCAA in Neloxia. College teams play at various levels of the pro leagues with hired gun athletes who are marketing department employees and often attend the schools, but not always.

Thomas Luke F.C. have spent two seasons in the NFC during the 30s. Sporting Mapouras spent four in the 40s. Wye Oak began in the League, but were out after two seasons. Black and Yellow (B&Y) rose as high as the League in the '55 and '56 seasons, but were back down after that. Neloxian Army began in the League, but not even a coup (just kidding) could keep them there after five seasons. Tuesday Wanderers or just Wanderers began in the 4th division, but were booted after a year and took 32 years to get back. After another ten year hiatus, they returned in '58 to their highest level of football in Neloxia.

Aisha have a strange history. FA Cup runners up four times ('11, '35, '48, '52) they've only spent one year in the NPD and only 12 in the League (most recently in '51) but they manage to get up for big tournaments at random times in their history. With the right management, many believe they'd be a formidible club.

Ok, I'll just post links to the Tiers One through Four teams, because we're talking about 62 teams and I doubt you care about all of them.

Tier One (http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/NeloxiaFootballAllianceTierOne.png)
Tier Two (http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/NeloxiaFootballAllianceTierTwo.png)
Tier Three (http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/NeloxiaFootballAllianceTierThree.png)
Tier Four (http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/NeloxiaFootballAllianceTierFour.png)

I'll highlight a few notable teams amongst these leagues though:

Watchmen (http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/WatchmenFC-3.png) (Tier Four) began in the second division but have managed to tumble to the bottom over the years, only playing a total of three seasons in the second division -- all non-consecutive.

Sam Harding (Tier Two) is a restaurant chain in Neloxia. Their team isn't as good as their food, but they did spend one season in the League ('14)

Most Incredible Hulk (Tier Two) is not a typo. Yes, that's actually the team's name.

Fifty Lakes Professional (Tier Two) were in Tier Three the year they won the FA Cup ('22)

University of Swenton (Tier One) are nicknamed Crystal Stilts.

Royal St. John's Regatta 1816 (Tier One) is based in Newfoundland, as my backdoor way to get more Canadian regens.

Policia (Tier One) is no longer the official team of the state police, but do receive their patronage. They were runners up to the FA Cup last year.

NAF (Tier One) is the Neloxian Air Force team. There is a Tier Three team for the Air Force Academy of Neloxia, too.

Cranford Bridge (Tier Four) are interesting in one way. I guess every league has a team that's never won anything. Cranford Bridge is that team. Their highest Tier Four finish ever was 12th in '10. Their second highest finish? 13th the year before. Since that time, they've finished dead last or second to last in the Tier Four all but one time in their history (16th in '14)

Now that's a doozy of a legacy.

Here are the links to the Regional teams:

A friend reading this who isn't a member of the board wondered about boundaries of the cities. Because I started off naming each city "Neloxia Confederacy" and there isn't a way to change it; coupled with the fact that I've just taken the liberty of annexing some of the smaller cities into the bigger ones for the purposes of our story, I figured out how to make it a bit easier to recognize the map of the country.

So first, let's take a look at Marisa. It's comprised of five cantons -- essentially boroughs like New York City -- and the combined population of the capital is nearly a million people. Hopefully this helps you understand the boundaries a bit better. Below West Marisa is the Terra Risa National Forest.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/cantons.jpg

Here are pictures of the downtown Upton Park both day and night:

Most of the rural towns featured in the northern part of the country aren't even in FM, because they're too small. I put the entire map here without words so you can get a sense of where they are located relative to the rest of Marisa, etc.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/Sim%20City%20Gallery/ruralmap.jpg

The anchor city which bridges the Marisa area with the rural north is County City. The entire County City Regional Area has close to 90,000 people.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/Sim%20City%20Gallery/countycity.jpg

That red line divides what's considered County City with Vampire Lake and Teela City, the anchor cities of Northwest Neloxia. The seaside areas are some of the best vacation towns in the country -- Seaside Cove and Seawood, but neither is in the game that's just a dinner party factoid.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/Sim%20City%20Gallery/ParagonCity-1296785893.png

Vampire Lake has about 56,000 people and Teela City has about 51,000. Lots of lower level football teams play here and in other parts of the rural north, because really what else is there to do? I got smarter with the naming eventually, so I don't need an overlay for these towns. Only about 800 people live in West Lake and the towns surrounding Teela don't have more than 1,500 people in each.

Ok, so here are the player cards of our first batch of regens.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/DaveOShea.png
Dave O'Shea is a 17-year old playing for the U19 squad at Greyhound in the third division Neloxian Football Conference (NFC). Born in the Vampire Lake suburb of New Sophia, he grew up in Vampire Lake and was a local icon in the area football community. While his friends all grew up fans of the local side Vampire Lake during their heyday, Dave was a loyal Greyhound and would love nothing more than to start for the Orange and Silver en route to the trip to the Premiership.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/40DexMorgan.png

Dex Morgan is settling into his new club after being transferred from Cerise, his favorite club growing up to New Kongisberg Brewery of the second division League of Football Neloxia (or simply "The League). He comes with hig expectations after the team splashed $32.5 million on the 19-year old wonderkid who hails from Swenton in South Neloxia. If he plays his cards right, the team's faith in him will be rewarded with a trip back to the NPD.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/4BBGunn.png
B.B. Gunn hails from the small town of Shannon in northeast Neloxia. The 19-year old future star is in his second season with Neloxiant, after a $5.25 million transfer from BNN in 2061.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/ChesOPeake.png

22-year old striker Ches O'Peake has been a bit of a late bloomer in his career. Breaking in the Tier Three squad The Black Angels, he joined Tier Four (8th division) side Watchmen after a trial in '59. The team was in the 3rd tier at the time but were relegated to the basement of Neloxian football after two years. He's now in his fourth season and whispers are the team won't be able to hold him, as increasingly more and more teams come to scout him at their games.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/26McQwikNoone.png

McQwik Noone hails from the city of Shipwreck in southeast Neloxia. He began his career with BNN before being sold to Cerise for $2.8 million in '60. Cerise sold him the following year for $8 million to Academia Cromwell who have loaned him to his hometown club Shipwreck. He spent a one-game stint with the club on loan from Cerise C back before the team moved him for good.

Some wonder if this is a precursor to a permanent move at Shipwreck for the young forward.

Swenton Town are relegated for only the 3rd time in their history, the last time coming in '59. Hellsbath United is heading down for the second time in three years, but only the 6th time in their proud history which includes 5 NPD titles and winners of the Champions League back in '21. Finally, a once proud Upton Park squad are seemingly doomed to the life of an elevator club; heading to the League for the fifth time in seven years despite having appearance in the junior circuit for what will be the 11th time in club history.

As the fall has arrived, as has the winding down of another Neloxian football season. As the over 230 professional clubs across Neloxia wind down their year, we turn our attention to the NPD, where the playoffs are set to begin:

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/NeloxianPremierDivision-6.png

Alzate managed to eclipse Academia Cromwell by a single point. If Academia had beat Hellsbath United in their last match, they'd have advanced to the playoffs. Instead, they tied and Alzate Capital managed to beat Cerise 2-1. The difference maker has to be Ches O'Peake who joined the team on September 11th and while they lost their first game with him, they didn't lose again including two Champions League tilts in the middle of their NPD schedule.

In five NPD appearances, he had 4 goals and was Man of the Match twice.

Now the two rivals will duke it out with one heading for a shot at the championship. For defending champions Black Tambourine, it'd be title #6, whereas for Alzate, this title would put them in the company of recently relegated Swenton Town and Cerise with a NPD record 9 championships.

Can Ches O'Peake and first-year manager David Glenn pull off the upset en route to history?

We'll soon find out.

Here's the final results in The League this past season:

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/LeagueofFootballNeloxia-5.png

Harland & Wolff are going back up for only the 2nd time in their history. Their first taste of the big time was in '59 when the team finished 11th. Kings Avenue head back up after a one-year break and just three seasons removed from their NPD title. ('60) Hetfield United are also back after a one-year break.
For fans of Shipwreck and Men of Iron, you'll have to wait another year to experience the NPD once again.

They were beaten out by Kings Avenue ('60) for the honour of becoming the first Tier Four graduate to claim a Premiership, but I doubt that winning this one would make it any less sweet for a club that's been a regular member of the NPD consecutively since '33.

One of the side effects of our strange season are a lot of injuries, as well as guys being gone off to play international football during key points of the season. Black Tambourine had several key players out which made this game more competitive than it might have otherwise have been.

Centillon claims their first-ever NPD championship on penalties, while the Bridesmaides of East Nelitz are runners up for the 11th time in club history. (and 5th time in 9 seasons)

'62 IN REVIEW
Academia Cromwell's McQwik Noone scored six goals in fourteen appearances on loan with Shipwreck.

Alzate's Ches O'Peake was NPD Player of the Month after scoring 5 goals in six games and earning MoM honors three times, he transferred from Watchmen for $50 million, after scoring 25 goals and three assists in 22 games for the Tier Four side.

Liverpool's Ches O'Shea has appeared in four games so far for Liverpool since arriving earlier this year after three games with NFC side Greyhound on a $975,000 transfer.

Neloxiant defender B.B. Gunn appeared in 22 games for the Brown and White scoring two goals and seven assists in his second season with the NPD club.

New Kongisberg Brewery midfielder Dex Morgan came in third player for '62 NFL young player of the year after scoring 3 goals and 3 assists in 12 appearances for the Wheat Kings. He transferred for $32.5 from Cerise this year and while the team missed out on promotion by just a point, the club hopes he's a big factor in their return to the bigs after next year.

White Moon striker Dean Hoo joined the Regional Premiership overachievers just in time to appear in 11 matches en route to their first RFP championship, as well as a win in the FA Bowl. He put up nine goals, four assists and was man of the match in four games with an average rating of 7.84. Teams are banging down the door for him, so it remains to be seen how long he'll remain content in Neloxia's 9th division without an escape hatch.

Here are the player cards for our latest three recruits:

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/ChasCincinnati.png Chas Cincinnati was born in northern Neloxian town of North Daria and grew up in the country near County City. He's currently a member of the U19 squad for the defending Tier Four champions Arrian. He made six appearances in his rookie year, scoring two goals and being MoM in one of those games. Arrian is the same club that produced former teammate and current White Moon starlet Dean Hoo.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/ChazOSchex-2.png Hailing from the city of Mapouras in southern Neloxia, Chaz is currently a member of his hometown club's "C" team. Sporting Mapouras finished 11th in the Alliance Championship this past season.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/RyanOmark.png Ryan is a 17-year old midfielder from South Cromwell. He made three appearances last year for his hometown club, Southern Cross who play at Cromwell Stadium in South Cromwell. The team finished 13th in Tier Four this past year.

I'm prepping to post maps, but before I do, I wanted to give a non-exhaustive, but basic list of where certain teams play in the country. I didn't dig deep at the lower levels, so if there's a team you want to know about where they play, let me know and I'll mention them. I just covered the big clubs and a few interesting ones for the purposes of this dynasty.

Athletica Terra Risa

So looking at the upcoming season's NPD, you see we have 2 from the northeast, 7 teams from the greater Marisa area, 2 from the Alzate area and one from the southeast. So you can see why teams like Cerise, Alzate, Black Tambourine and now even Centillion attract the fan bases they do. Too risky to get too comfortable otherwise, because your club might tumble and make it back up top. Swenton Town and Hellsbath United are the anchor teams for their areas though despite their relegations this season, because between them they've only spent a collective 9 seasons in the second division and neither has second two consecutive years there. Still, Swenton's last title came in '48 and Hellsbath's in '51.

BNN left Marisa for a new stadium in a Swenton suburb in 2060, so they've moved areas but as the TV network team it wasn't as much of a shock for their fans who are national.

White Moon to build new stadium, form partnership with TV8

I purposely left one or two clubs in the Regional division so if I ever wanted to manage one I could. White Moon Brewery was actually owned by Black Tambourine for a while, before becoming independent. The current management are former staff at Black Tambourine. Now that they've managed to turn White Moon into a formidible club at the Regional level, they have higher ambitions. The club can't be moved out of the RFP no matter what, but what if an RFP club acquired a lower level team from the Alliance and funnelled players their talent upwards? Same board, same stadium and most of all...more lucrative profits?

The White Moon Consoritum has narrowed down the list. I took a look at the list of clubs and compiled the teams that were of interest to us geographically and that would be worth trying to buy out. You all can help the board make the decision. Our main criteria is that we don't want a club that's already been to the Premiership before. So that rules out Watchmen, who we could afford pretty easily, but the goal here is to takeover a team, move it to the new stadium that White Moon is building and will complete by '64 and link the two together in an alliance of Neloxia's next great football club.

The real question is, what region is the for the taking? I'm thinking the south or eastern parts of the country. Hellsbath Utd and Swenton Town have loyal fan bases, but both have seen better days. On the flip side, there isn't a dominant club based in the southwest at all, which leaves an opening.

The idea is for both White Moon and this club we ally with to move to a new stadium somewhere in the southern part of Neloxia. We're going to show you some of the potential locations and you're going to help make the decision.

But before we decide on a site, we need a club to partner with. So I'm going to review a few potential teams and see what you all think of them as being worth acquiring by the White Moon Partnership, as each of these clubs you can assume have agreed to talks with the consortium.

After some careful evaluation, it makes the most sense to take over a club from the NFC, because the new White Moon Stadium will be ready to open at the end of the '64 season, meaning we won't move in until '65. The best scenario would be to move in an NPD club into the stadium. There are some more attractive clubs at the lower levels that would also be cheaper, but the board seems to agree that the sooner we've got people in the stands filling the seats, the better off we are and that would be harder to do with a club from say, Tier One.

The rules are:

1. The club can't own it's own stadium/must be a groundsharer
2. Estimated value has to be within the partnership's means
3. Preferably a club from the NFC (3rd division)

So with that, here are our options:

City of Claire: Currently groundsharing in Marisa at Cerise's old stadium with a bunch of othe teams. Claire isn't a city, it's an old section of Marisa. Still, they're in the NFC for the first time and are slowly building a buzz. Their best asset is the fact that they've played in the city for long enough that people have heard of them. It might be attractive to fans in the south to bring a capital-area team to them if we moved them without the nasty aftertaste howling of moving a venerable institution.

Claire won the Alliance Championship for the first time last year and this is literally the highest point in the club's history right now.

Anthracite Taxi: Their lone League season was in '40 and were primarily an Alliance Championship (4th division) club until two years ago. They groundshare at Hellsbath United's old stadium which isn't in Hellsbath, which is why they moved in '18. West Marisa is the smallest and most suburban of the five cantons of Marisa and as such, their reach locally is somewhat limited especially playing in the NFC.

Every other club in the NFC currently owns their own stadium or are too rich for our blood (City Hall University falls into that category)

The only other clubs we're considering are from the Alliance Championship:

Tuesday Wanderers split groundshare between Hellsbath and Enclave.

Sporting Mapouras own their own stadium, but it's over 50 years old. What they have that none of the other clubs we're considering is a huge city that' their own to pull from in the same way, that say, Swenton does. Except, they play in the 4th division. With Mapouras growing annually, there could be a gold mine of an opportunity here and they're willing to do it, as the club is cash poor.

City photos to come later.

We start the flyby series in Hellsbath/East Hellsbath. Together, they boast over 216,000 people. East Hellsbath (153,549) is actually bigger than Hellsbath (63,109) and is home to Hellsbath United Stadium.

Terra Risa is located in the Blue Mountain region. It's the bedroom community between both eastern Neloxia (Hellsbath area) and southern Neloxia (Swenton area) and so, people often community to either place from here as it's largely a home of transplants who wanted a quieter lifestyle, as it's made up of small communities. It still does have a solid commercial sector and in recent years, is becoming a refuge point for companies looking to get out of the larger areas, due to local investments and a glut of venture capitalists setting up shop here.

The cape there is called Cape Trinity and I haven't built it yet, but it's not going to be a big city, I envision is as a summer resort community with residential, a bit of commercial and if I can get motivated, an amusement park area as I've been meaning to build a substantive one for a while. Hellsbath, East Hellsbath and Craven connect through a subway system that is always rumored to be heading to Terra Risa, but it has yet to materialize as of yet. Terra Risa is also disconnected from the Swenton subway, probably the nation's best Metro system and it's not even done yet. When completed, it'll connect most of southern Neloxia going from Swenton to Mapouras and the towns in-between.

Craven is home to the Tier Two club The Black Angels is also home to East Neloxia International Airport.

Here's a flyover of the eastern Neloxia area to give you perspective of things. East and West Marisa aren't part of the region, but I wanted to identify them to help you get your Neloxian geographic bearings. You get a sense of how relatively small the country is when you look at this. It also helps you appreciate how dense Marisa really is. Eastern Neloxia has only slightly more people than Upton Park, which explains why people are leaving the cities in droves, but also how clustered those areas are relative to the outer regions of the country.

By contrast, Northern Neloxia together has less than 200,000 people if you combined the Teela/Vampire Lake/County City metro areas and that'd be a stretch, only because County City loves to call itself the 6th Canton of Marisa even though it's not and the rural areas surrounding it want nothing to do with the rest of the country most of the time.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/eastneloxia.png

So the only region you haven't seen is Southern Neloxia.

Thanks guys.

Now for Swenton. Current population: 701,956. Despite this figure, it's still far more suburban in nature than the Marisa metroplex. As you know, it's home to Swenton Town who were relegated after last season, but are the team with the most NPD titles with Cerise with 9.

People from Marisa don't think of Swenton as a big city, but there's no disputing that it's growing exponentially in recent years. It's not a cow town anymore, that's for sure. But don't take my word for it...here are some pictures:

My favorite public library in the entire country is in Swenton.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/Sim%20City%20Gallery/Swenton-Jun14941297153456.png

Swenton Square is home to the World Trade Center, that orb topped building near Swenton Square Garden is City Hall and of course, the stadium there belongs to the proud of men of Swenton Town F.C.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/Sim%20City%20Gallery/Swenton-Jun14941297153388.png

Here's a nighttime shot of the downtown area:

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/Sim%20City%20Gallery/Swenton-Jun14941297153340.png

North of downtown is a community known as Swenton Gardens. It's fallen on hard times, but is being redeveloped and seems to be on it's way back.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/Sim%20City%20Gallery/Swenton-Jun14941297153348.png

Here's a flyover of the main part of the city. The area away from downtown is the part that's closer to the Fifty Lakes area. Swenton is easily the most residential of any Neloxian big city, most of the high rises you see are residential properties, the commercial area here isn't as big as some of the other big cities in the country. If you look in the northwest corner of this photo, you'll see the University of Swenton, home to Crystal Stilts who are a Tier One club based in this city and who have a strong following.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/Sim%20City%20Gallery/Swenton-Jun14941297153532.png

The University of Swenton might not boast a Premiership soccer team, but gridiron is popular in Neloxia and their team have won more national championships than any other club in the country.

Part of the reason there are so few association football clubs here is that most young kids in Swenton end up starting their lives playing gridiron, but that's changing gradually. Nationally, the most popular sports are: soccer, baseball, netball and gridiron is fourth on that list.

Still pretty impressive for a small European country, but...we're not the size of a U.S. or Canada. Most of our talented kids go to university in the U.S. to play since playing in Neloxia would make them ineligible since there are no collegiate sports.

The last city to profile is Mapouras which is officially known as South Alzate. Geographically it's a bit removed from the Alzate metroplex, but there was once a time when people thought the two cities would be more intertwined. Right now, Mapouras is more connected with Swenton just because of it's relative proximity.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/RicardoPortiere.png

Ricardo Portiere is the definition of a late bloomer. He began his career with Kings Avenue, with the notion that he'd be a starlet capable of helping the club down the road. He was let go after two years without playing a game and joined Mapouras during the '61 season and was loaned to the Tier Three club Hulk where he made the team's seasonal best eleven. In '62, he joined Tier One club Policia, also earning seasonal best 11 honours and joined Tier Four club Kingfisher with two games left in the '62 season and recorded two shutouts in both games. He's recorded 14 shutouts in 31 career games.

The little known fact here is that Nicosa Kingfisher is Black Tambourine's "B" team, one of the few NPD teams that has a B team playing in an active league. Their "C" team Red Tambourine play in the Regional leagues. As such, it's possible that the big club will swip Portiere before he can start next season in Tier Four. But we'll see.

A dual citizen of Neloxia and Italy, some worry that he will follow in the footsteps of the greatest Neloxian goalkeeper in history - Kyle Black. Kyle Black was a dual citizen of Neloxia and Jamaica and chose to play for the Reggae Boys instead of his birth nation. 166 caps later, he's been European Goalkeeper of the year runner-up four times, been shortlisted for World Footballer of the Year ten times and World Cup Best Goalkeeper honors.

Neloxians are already pressuring the twenty year old Portiere to "make the right choice" despite the fact that he has yet to be placed in the Neloxian national pool.

We shall see what the future holds for the debutante keeper.

SPORTING MAPOURAS ACQUIRED BY AMERICAN BUSINESSMAN

In a surprise, American businessman Mark Salvador has acquired a majority stake in the Sporting Mapouras Football Club. "We want to give Southwest Neloxia what it deserves -- world class football -- and we're gonna do it here in Mapouras," said the billionaire who made his fortune in the energy futures industry.

An admitted neophyte to football, he was brought to the city by the longtime American owners of NPD side Hetfield United. It was rumored for weeks that Mapouras was considering a deal that would have a joint organisation created with regional side White Moon Brewery, but it seems apparent that board members felt they would be better off going it alone.

Salvador, 52, expects to invest heavily in the club and has told fans that the Alliance Championship club should be preparing to play at a high level in the future, a tall order for a club that's only spent four seasons above the 4th division.

Meanwhile, this move limits the options of the White Moon consortium, which has yet to reveal its intentions going forward. Clubs have been mum on any possible plans and officials with the consortium have no spoken.

All right, so here's how season two went for each of our guys. There was some moving around of course, but that's what makes it fun, right?

First off, here's how the NPD regular season ended.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/NeloxianPremierDivision-8.png

Defending champs Centillion will not be back to defend their title missing out as some of the usual suspects are where they are.

Black Tambourine will take on BNN in one semi-final, while Alzate will challenge Academia Cromwell in the other.

Meanwhile, two of the three clubs promoted last year are headed back where they came from. Harland & Wolff and Hetfield United were in their first year back in the NPD, they'll be joined by underachivers Neloxiant, who were enjoying their first two consecutive seasons in the NPD since the '30s. Their best ever NPD finish was 5th during the '09 season, since then they've finished no higher than 9th.

They'll be switching places with True Believers who won the League and will be making only their second ever NPD appearance, the last coming 31 years ago. Anno Domini will rejoin the NPD after a second place League finish, their last season in the top league was '59, this will be their 13th season.

The third and final entrant to the top division is Enclave. It's been a very long wait for their fans, their last NPD season was '15. But their faith has apparently been rewarded.

How about those NPD semi-finals, eh?

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/AcademiavAlzate.png

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/BNNvBlackTambourine.png

It seems both of our favorites were upset and we'll have a 3 vs. 4 championship.

This will be BNN's attempt at their 5th title, the previous four all coming in the past ten seasons. Meanwhile, Academia Cromwell enjoyed their first sip from the Cup in '56 after losing out the previous year and lost again in '59.

Now let's find out about our starlets, shall we?

As expected, Ricardo Portiere was swiped by Italy and is an Italian national to the howls of Neloxians everywhere. That said, the Italian netminder has been shortlisted for JVC Goalkeeper of the Year after his work in his rookie season with Black Tambourine, who moved him up from Nicosa Kingfishers at the start of the year.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/13ChasCincinnati.png

Chas Cincinnati was bought from Arrian by Black Tambourine for $400k. In his maiden NPD season, he notched 4 assists in fifteen appearances.

Ryan Omark was purchased from Southern Cross by third division side Anthracite Taxi for $100k. Anthracite will be moving up to the League next season after winning the NFC in small part to Omark's work. He scored 8 goals and had 8 assists in 19 games. He was part of the NFC Best 11 for this year and was runner up for NFC Player of the Year behind Vampire Lake's Bill Stevens.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/3ChazOSchex.png

Chaz O'Schex was sold to Alzate by Mapouras for $4.4 million. During his rookie NPD season, he was shortlisted for Nestacard Defender of the Year which will be awarded later this month. He played in 28 league contests, had an average rating of 8, scored 3 goals, 9 assists and was man of the match 5 times.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/6DexMorgan.png
Dex Morgan spent his second season with Brewery and improved. He was 3rd place for NFL Young Player of the Year after making 13 appearances this year. Brewery finished 4th in the League, just missing out on promotion.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/23BBGunn.png

B.B. Gunn was acquired from Neloxiant by Alzate just before the end of the season when it became apparent Neloxiant would be relegated. The team sold him for $8.25 million for another defender who was shortlisted for Nestacard Defender of the Year. He had an average rating of 7.46 for Neloxiant in 25 games scored 3 goals, 3 assists and was MoM three times.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/9McQwikNoone.png

McQwik Noone was sold to Black Tambourine last December for $23 million from Academia. He scored 10 goals in 30 appearances this year.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/ChesOShea.png

Ches O'Shea isn't getting much work at Liverpool and a move might be in order sooner rather than later. He is only 18 though and so, he'll work into it over time, one would suspect.

Two years after selling him to Brewery for $32.5 million, Cerise have reacquired Dex Morgan from Brewery for $27 million.

He'll begin the '64 season in familiar environs as Cerise looks to enter the playoff mix for the first time in three years.

Nice to see myself back at the old stomping grounds.

OOC, would you be willing to release this league structure to the public? I would love to play this on my home computer, especially after reading this rich background.

A bit off topic, but speaking of food, what is Neloxian cuisine like?

So I read this last night and started thinking of stuff that I knew off hand, but I've never actually come up with a consistent thematic menu of Neloxian delicacies in all of the years I've been doing this. I mean, I know the basics and I have some specific ideas...but it's never been fleshed out.

So on the drive home I called a friend who used to work for The Food Network and asked her to come up with Neloxian cuisine for me. So I'll get back to you on this, but we're working on it. ;)

Nice to see myself back at the old stomping grounds.

There's a ton of money being thrown around, but I did it on purpose because I wanted Neloxian teams to be able to get anyone they want. It doesn't work out that way and it's almost tempting me to upgrade to FM11, just for the dynamic league reputation. So far, I'm continuing to resist but as I type this I'm weakening my stance.

I made the mistake of giving regional teams too much money too and I've managed to just edit it down in my game, but if I were tweaking the db again I'd fix that to make it more realistic.

But save for those inconsistencies. :)

I forgot about Dean Hoo, sorry. He was sold by White Moon to Anthracite Taxi for $18.5 million last season, scoring 8 goals and 1 assist in 9 games. He's currently in his 2nd season with the club, who are knocking on the door to the NPD for the first time in club history.

We know what clubs have won the most NPD titles (Cerise and Swenton Town with 9) and the team that's never been relegated (Alzate Capital) but do we know what team has the most playoff appearances?

Any guesses?

But... The Tambourine must rise. No more of this BNN crap. Its just like Man City in the old EPL...buying yourself prestige. No, its time for a team with some tradition to win.

Portiere: Chas Cincinnati should play.

Outspoken Tambourine keeper Portiere denounced rivals BNN as 'nouveau riche' and predicted that the Tambourine will outperform them in the upcoming season.
He also called on management to make Chas Cincinnati a full-time regular. 'Chas deserves a crack at the center of the park. He could be a big-time player for us and give us a second scoring option in the middle. Talent can't be left to rot on the bench'

A total of 29 clubs have played in the Premier Division since it's inception 55 years ago.

Let's take a look at some history as we prepare to find out how the '64 season went down:

Alzate Capital has the most playoff appearances in NPD history with 40. Second on the playoff appearances list is surprisingly Downham & Bradfield Railway aka Men of Iron who have made the postseason 33 times and have been finalists a record 12 times. They're now fighting off relegation from the second division. Men of Iron boast the longest championship drought of any team that's ever won one, claiming their last title in '28. Third on the list is Cerise who have 32 playoff appearances.

Here's the all-time list of number of titles and playoff appearances for NPD teams through the '63 postseason. ('64 TBD)

Remember that we're playing this era out as if it's the 1900s, so that's why I've adjusted the years below.

Good idea. If you all can come up with chants for your favorite club, I'll allocate your user up to 5 ability points that you can use anywhere or a one point upgrade of everything across the board, whichever you use. Deacon Palmer plays for Tier Four club Cranford Bridge. He hails from Hellsbath in eastern Neloxia and is in his first season with the club. If you've been following a while, you might know that Cranford Bridge have the distinction of being the worst team in Tier Four history since the inception of that league. So it's a wonder whether he'll even make it to camp with the club before being snapped up. We shall see.

Now this is funny. We all know about the debutante of the ball Ricardo Portiere of Italy and Black Tambourine. What we didn't know, is he has an older brother who is also a goalkeeper. Lucas Portiere (http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/1LucasPortiere-2.png) plays for Cerise, but while little bro decided to play for the homeland of their parents, Lucas stayed true to Neloxia. Lucas has only one cap, but it's expected he'll play on the upcoming World Cup squad, though not as the starter. His younger brother also deposed him of his starting job with Black Tambourine. The two were teammates briefly in '63 before he was sold to Cerise for just $35,000 when his brother was called up.

Truth be told, the older brother had been in the Black Tambourine system for a while, had spent three years with farm club Red Tambourine in the regional system and it wasn't proven whether he'd be the better player or not, but officials went with the younger brother in the end. Still, what a story huh?

The last region I haven't profiled is Southern Neloxia. Here's a regional map.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/southneloxiamap.png

The development of the Trans-Neloxia highway is what's fueled all of the growth of the country. Before it was built, there was no way to drive on highway from Alzate to the Marisa area, which to put it mildly was obnoxious. It's what allowed Alzate to grow beyond it's current size to become a regional center and why the South Alzate is called what it is despite it's relative distance from Alzate itself. The western part of Neloxia was always thought of as "Alzate" even though it's grown into distinct areas separate from that now.

The farming communities that separate Alzate from South Alzate are strange. On the coast, you have Cromwell which isn't farming at all. Then you have a bunch of small towns surrounding the anchor cities of Holdsworth/East Holdsworth which consider themselves southern cities even though they're firmly planted in the western nexus with Alzate. The communities that separate Upton Park from the south are also wedged with people who live there and work in the capital area of Marisa, with others who commute south and work in Swenton or South Alzate's cities, though South Alzate is primarily residential communities -- we'll profile that city next -- and has the least commerce of any major city. It's almost entirely residential in character, essentially Neloxia's only true suburb.

Here are some shots of South Alzate, which is comprised of cities such as New Alzate, South Alzate City, Reginald City, Mapouras, North Mapouras as well as unincorporated areas. As I mentioned previously, it's Neloxia's truest suburb, home largely to a residential population. It boasts the country's only intra-city light rail system and is connected to a regional subway system with Swenton and the Fifty Lakes area.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/Sim%20City%20Gallery/SouthAlzate-Feb14801297422333.png

South Alzate grew because of the Trans-Neloxia Highway. When it was built, the people came with it and it's yet to stop growing. Some believe it'll eventually surpass Swenton as the second largest city behind Marisa, but that remains to be seen.

The forum hates when you post code and I've posted this five times already and won't take. Grr..

Ok, Ches O'Peake retired before I could catch his bio to take a snapshot. Anyway...I'm simming ahead, but want to get all of your players chronicled as I do. Ended his career with 69 caps and 51 goals for Neloxia, after retiring last November he was named head coach at Enclave this past May.

His achievements and final stats are attached.

My goal is to sim to 2108 which will act as 2008 for my purposes. I want a hundred years of Neloxian football history and then I'm going to restart with a reformed NPD and divisions. We need more teams in each of the top three leagues, I want to emphasize less on the lower leagues and focus more on interacting with the rest of global football because the game doesn't work particularly well when you don't load a lot of players and so, I know that now going forward even though things move too slowly otherwise.

Still, I wanted to be able to get immersed into the various teams and I have, to really get to know this country again. It'll be interesting to see what clubs dominate Neloxian football over the next thirty years or so to give us some kind of history. I've made more alterations to the database in anticipation of what will be the present of Neloxian football, where we figure out what clubs are the true standard bearers for the Neloxian brand of football going forward. I feel like we know, but will clubs like Alzate fade into obscurity? Is BNN the club of now? We're just going to have to see, as there are mergers and reorganizations that will change the landscape of things in the coming years.

'67: BNN def. Cerise

'72: Academia Cromwell def. BNN
'73: Centillion def. Academia
'74: Hetfield United def. Academia
'75: BNN def. Hetfield United
'76: Hetfield United def. Black Tambourine

In other interesting news, Alzate Capital has been relegated. As for the '77 season they've spent seven years in the second division including each of the past four years and they're in danger of being relegated to the third division this year.

Meanwhile, BNN has eight titles all earned since '53. Cerise might be very unlikely in NPD playoffs, but they've won the Champions League three times since '68.

No team has surpassed Swenton Town's record of nine titles as of yet, but I suspect they will before it's all said and done.

With the demise of Alzate, Cerise and other major powers of Neloxian football came a rift. While upstarts like BNN and Academia were successful, they didn't have the eyeballs of the Neloxian public. Attendances were down substantially, revenues falling off and while Neloxia will still recognized as a global football power, the Premier Division's former leaders came together in 1996 to discuss their options.

Alzate Capital, Swenton Town, Anthracite Taxi, Cerise and current members Black Tambourine were among the teams represented at the meeting. The idea wasn't so much to exclude teams that had risen from the bottom of the ranks, as much as it was about preserving the legacy of Neloxian football for those teams that had huge fan bases and had developed them globally.

Even upstarts like BNN, the successful on the field but financially struggling Hetfield United and academic institutions like Academia Cromwell realized a vested stake in what they began calling the "expanded premier division."

Expansion was not a new concept. The Neloxian Premier Division expanded from the Neloxian Super 8 League to feature its current lineup of 12 teams, but many believed a new format was necessary.

It was also universally accepted that Neloxian football suffered by having a season not in lockstep with the rest of the Europe and this was a change implored by many for decades that been resisted by the Neloxian FA.

While teams felt strongly in many cases, the Neloxian FA was opposed to dramatic changes to the Neloxian football structure. They see the conversations as counterproductive, while several clubs chose to stay out of the fray completely preferring the status quo to reign. By the '97 season, the conversations were continuing, but there was no resolution about what to do or where to truly take Neloxian football definitively.

There are rumors that over a dozen Neloxian football teams are prepared to resign from the FA to start a rival league in the hopes of asserting more revenue from television. Meanwhile, the FA opposes their rumors saying money is fairly distributed right now between top divisions and lower division clubs and the call for NPD expansion stems from clubs who were once dominating falling out of the Premiership, most notably Alzate Capital and Marisa-based club Cerise.

"This big teams throw their weight around and say it's about drawing fans to football. But look at the stadiums? BNN, Centillion and these teams win games, draw fans and everyone is happy. Why do these other teams say football suffers?" said M.G. O'Shea, President of the Neloxian F.A.

But a report from Neloxia Public Television indicate that NPD revenues are down 40% over the past decade and television viewing has dropped increasingly.

Discussing about breakway leagues have gone on for close to six years now with no real resolution and there seems to be little indication that much will change, but the conversations continue.

Meanwhile, Neloxian football isn't the dominant force it once was globally. Only three Neloxian clubs have won the UEFA Champions League in the past 28 years.

REPORTS: AS MANY AS THIRTEEN CLUBS PREPARED TO LEAVE FA

November 11, 2003

A report from the Swenton Daily Standard indicates that as many as thirteen teams from the Neloxian Football Associated are prepared to defect to a new league, backed by billionaire D.C. Harris, who owns Omnivore, a internet startup based originally in Alzate before the company moved to the mountain valley area called Sariņana which was almost entirely rural until about eight or nine years ago. Now, it's home to a variety of internet startups who have poised to make it into Neloxia's own Silicon Valley. There isn't even an incorporate city there, which is part of why the companies move there to avoid tax laws, but most believe a city government is coming soon.

In any case, backed by the internet billionaire, the teams believe they could withstand a legal challenge by the Neloxian F.A. and take their clubs to a new league that would give them more share of the television revenues, while increasing them by improving access to the top division for more clubs.

The FA resists these changes, opposes NPD expansion believing that going beyond 12 teams would irritate FIFA and any directives that would expand it beyond 18 teams might cause the league to be sanctioned. FIFA has not commented on it's feelings regarding Neloxian league expansion except to say that leagues at 18 teams and under are it's preference, save for the English Premier League which was recently founded by club seeking the same financial independence and later mimicking in Scotland a few years later.

The clubs also want to expand the playoffs, to more teams, create a relegation playoff and other "innovations" they believe will improve the league. The Neloxian FA believes Neloxian football is fine as-is.

Harris says that he could have a league started in as few as 18 months. Where will this situation be resolved and how?

We do not know right now, except that Neloxian football fans are wondering what's next en masse.

NELOXIAN FA, CONFEDERATES TO MEET
The Confederate League, the association of fifteen Neloxian football clubs across several FA divisions have agreed to a series of meetings. The Confederate League formed last year and staged a series of friendlies amongst its members to gauge interest in the new league format during the lengthy Neloxian football off-season. Reception to the new venture was enormous around the country with foreign teams also being invited to select matches, again to huge receptions.

"We just want to prove the concept," said Swenton Town Manager Ches O'Shea, in his tenth year with the club and second season as the head man. Swenton, once a juggernaut in the Neloxia football scene has been relegated to the third division and last claimed a title nearly sixty years ago at the top level. They've just yo-yo'd since then, which fuels the argument that many upstart fans have that expansion advocates just want to be granted magic premiership access for not earning it.

"We're not demanding anything other than fair share of the revenues," said Cerise Chairman Anton von Goolsby. "A dozen clubs generate more interest globally than the entire Premiership. Amongst those clubs, we haven't been successful in recent years. Why? We're sharing this money to teams who take our money they don't earn by being better and beating us with it; stealing our players and still their fans don't come out like ours do."

Neloxian football TV ratings continue to drop and despite a strong showing by Brewery the past three years in the Champions League, they've lost three years in a row. "We're not the organisation we once were and the [Confederated League] wants to fix that by building a better organisation for everyone," said O'Shea, who says he noticed the flaws with the game during his time as a player and now as a manager.

Still, no plan exists. With talks between the group and FA beginning in earnest, many hope this near-decade long strife can be ended sooner than later.

"We need to get back to what matters," said von Goolsby. "That's football and nothing else."

CHRISTMAS COMES EARLY: FA, CONFEDERATES COME TO AGREEMENT

Starting in two years, Neloxian football will have a different complexion. That's the news coming out of joint press conference from the Neloxian F.A. and the Confederate League.

Starting in 2009, a new Neloxian division system will take affect.

Here's the basics of the agreement:

- 62 teams will make up a reformed Neloxian Confederation, a private company separate from the FA. The teams will participate in a league sanctioned by the FA -- a crucial piece -- but will not be subject to FA rules beyond that.

- The new divisions will be called simply Neloxian Football League Divisions One through Eight. The Regional system remains untouched, though several teams are expected to defect. The FA Cup remains unchanged and is the only Cup that will remain active, as most teams felt Neloxian clubs were overstretched with the various internal tournaments and that it hurt competitiveness in Europe and around the globe.

- Division One will be comprised of 22 teams, Divisions Two and Three with twenty teams each. Promotion and relegation schemes will be announced at a later date. Relegation will not occur beyond the D3 level.

- The most interesting news: Neloxian football will switch its schedule and operate as the rest of Europe does starting in 2009. The season will start in August and end in May. "This was the one thing both sides agreed on from the start," said an F.A. Spokesman.

Ultimately, the changes ensure -- the sides say -- the security of Neloxian football by giving the top clubs financial independence to remain globally competitive. More information about these changes will follow. But suffice to say, that Neloxian football will never be the same.

I changed the Neloxian football season to match the rest of Europe's football season, because while it annoys me, it was really affecting pretty much killing us during international play.

I amended the nation rules to only have the first three divisions as part of them, with the rest being present but not actually used, because it's more trouble than it's worth to me. I've expanded the top three divisions and all of the leagues have been renamed from Divisions one through eight and are now simply called Neloxian Football Division One through Eight.

DIVISION ONE There are now twenty two in the top division. The season lasts 21 games, a massive departure from the past, but my idea is to make it more like the NFL where every week is a huge event each week.

The two worst teams get relegated, with the next worst four playing in a relegation cup playoff with the final loser being relegated. Meanwhile, the playoffs get expanded. Whereas we took the top 4 of 12 before, we now take the top 7 teams for the postseason tournament.

DIVISION TWO There are twenty teams. Top team gets promoted automatically, the next six teams play in a playoff tournament for two spots.

DIVISION THREE: Back to being the lowest promotable division, but with 20 teams now. Top team gets automatically promoted, the next eight in line play in a playoff tournament with two spots to D2 up for grabs.

I killed off all of the cups except the Neloxian FA Cup, because they just never took off or interest me in the end and since we're not using the lower leagues, I don't need to worry about winning lower level cups right now.

The new db doesn't even include nation rules for divisions past D3 even though they all still exist notionally. The idea to keep the interesting teams involved and essentially ignore the rest.

Most importantly, we now have a basis from which to work. The first setup was the prequel into Neloxia's ascent and establishing football. The next, about building on that legacy to create one of the world's global football superpowers and seeing the rise and fall of that professional legacy in a sense.

The next phase is of course, slower and more paced because the teams that dominate are established now, we know the cities and where they're located, how they've emerged and grown and now it's simply a matter of living it out rather than building it.

To raise additional funds, two club licenses were sold to new club owners, though only one new club was added while another was added to Division Two with an existing club taking the spot of an "expansion club."

It explains why Division One has 22 teams and the others only twenty teams. FIFA is livid at the NPD flouting it's 18 team first division cap, but Neloxia officials believe this was the most prudent move and the FA gave a reluctant blessing. Two teams were granted, with Omnivore being granted one of the spots and the other to another team based in the Neloxian Northwest, an area that's grown dramatically over the past decade through growth in the tech sectors creating an area with the influence of Alzate but distinct from it due to the relative isolation in the far west from the rest of the country.

We'll be moving forward next up with Neloxia's next 100 years of football. Stay tuned and thanks for following with us through two dynasties and counting!

So I decided to revisit this. Easily one of my most ambitious projects ever, I've spent random times over the past few months tinkering ever so slightly with Neloxia. I've always kept the leagues, just needed some time away from them. But finally after a while, we're in the year 2100 in this same universe of Neloxia, the above teams have established some history and the country looks very different than it once did as the northern part of the nation has been grown.

Let's explore the new Neloxia, look at the powers of the modern Neloxian football universe and see how the national team has done since we last visited shall we?

The five capital cantons have been renamed and the idea is to move the capital of the country to the northern area of the country.

If you refer to an older map, you'll recall northern Neloxia just wasn't populated. It's changing.

Here's the BEFORE map of this same area: http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc113/Dynasty_DC/Sim%20City%20Gallery/countycity.jpg

Cerisean was built to replace Marisa as the capital, but it has not yet been decided whether it will be or not. Still, it grows. 101k people in that increasingly growing capital suburb of the financial district that is now called Aberidia.

Here are the Cantons of Old Marisa:
