Ping all FOFC Cup III hattrickers please read!

I have received some private messages concerning this so I thought the only way to do this is via poll.

Here is the deal, we have these people on the waiting list from all the threads regarding the cup:

1. NYFAN
2. Raven
3. Neuqua
4. RPI-fan
5. Richards
6. rpi-fan *

This adds up to 5. Now if we get a late entry (by late I mean no later than Tuesday) along with these 5 additional teams we could have 14 groups. FrogMan has already told me that he does not mind reseeding and redoing the groups, schedules and the webpage, so I ask the forum if another team signs up along with these 5 mentioned if they be allowed in the tournament.

Since the cup is not starting any earlier than May 8th now, this can be easily done ahead of time. So I do not look like a dictator either way, I will leave it up to you guys. I made a poll so people do not have to say anything either way if they don't wish to.

Also the 5 teams mentioned above, please by Tuesday post in here that you are still interested so we dont get any wires crossed.

The whole thing in a nutshell is if another 6 teams sign up by Tuesday, can they play in the cup?

You also said it, I have no problem with redoing the seedings with new teams added in.

Also, if we go ahead with this and I redo the seedings, they will be with my newly, improved rankings, that will now take into account the results of cup games. I was able to pull the cup game ratings from HATStats, so I would use the best in any given week between the league and the cup match...

Well, if you guys are willing to do the work, I don't see why not. You might try Breeze or Franklinnoble for a 6th team (newest team list signees).

I still think it would be a good idea to wait and see how many (if any) of the people currently in win on Wednesday. I don't know the timetable on the tournament, but if we can't move it back any farther, they may have to be replaced...

I agree with keeping the groups as they were and just adding the new guys or swapping them in for people who pull out. I was really looking forward to my two trips to France and a chance to face DataKing, the guy whose dynasty got me to sign up for the game in the first place. That's my $.02

Ok the results clearly are in favor of adding another group. Since a majority of people who posted liked the current group formation, I will just add these 6 into their own group. I am going to confer with FrogMan hopefully today and we will have everything fixed up.

Ally, rpi-fan said something a few days back about joining the cup he was just waiting for a team which he did get.

HornedFrog, it was vtbub, not rpi-fan, who was waiting for his team.

I got your PM and should be on Yahoo at some point after 7:30 eastern tonight. We can talk about it then.

One concern I have about putting the new teams together in their own group, is that it will make for a kind of weak group compared to many others. Not that I'm complaniing, but this group will probably include 3 of the bottom 10 teams.

But I read the requests in here about keeping the groups intact and I kinda like my killer group too, so whatever works ;)

HornedFrog told me yesterday that he would post something about it today. But I could tell you myself. The cup website has been updated. You guys have been placed in group "N" and you have been seeded at the very end of the seedings, i.e. #79 through #84. That way whoever makes it out of your group will be seeded last of the remaining 32 teams still alive.
