Hmm I was thinking a few moments ago, about a Relaybot for IRC.

It could use a third party program that allows you to watch your matches. A simplified version would just take the scores, and relay them to an irc channel. It would show the scores like every 3 or 4 minutes, unless a team scored then it would update immediately

This post started to fall... I think you went over half the people that posts here's head or something.
That would be pretty cool if you could throw that together...

Airhog, I don't have a clue what you're talking about, just about the way lytic has said, but if you wanna explain someday I'll listen and will probably use whatever you install :)

It's basically a program that refreshes everyones matches and spits the updated info out in a mIRC channel.
I think that is what he was getting at anyway. It'd be some cool programming. I don't know enough about mIRC to even think about programming a relay bot.

Actually it wouldnt even run on mirc. It would be what is called an eggdrop bot. Most big channels have an eggdrop bot. These bots are an executable program. It would be able to connect to a channel in irc and idle in their, during the games, you could have it listen to a paticular match, and spit the results back too the channel.

Wouldn't be tough to do, but not sure how the HT guys would feel about it. As it is with all the match viewers out there and people just opening multiple windows and mass-refreshing I'm sure the hattrick servers are taking a beating.

While one bot might not be bad, once its out there, others will do it and next thing ya know HT is going down during matches more often than it is now. :(

Hmmm yeah I did think about that, but I would have too say one thing, you would have to limit the number of matches it would broadcast. maybe 10 or so.
