position change happens twice?

Admittedly brand new to the game, I opted to change an OLB to a DE. He was said to retain 83% of his stats so that seemed ok. Only when I look at the transaction history, he changed from OLB to DE and then again from DE to DE. I am in a MP league and this player is now essentially worthless to me having had his stats cut twice. Just looking for explanations and a way to avoid this in the future.

From DE to DE probably would not have cut his stats. If he lost more than you expected in OVR ratings that might be because LBs and DEs are simply rated differently.

If the actual move happened twice in one stage it seems likely that the commissioner imported the stage files twice. You should only import once; if you imported and forgot something or there was a problem, then the game should be closed without saving, re-opened from its original state before importing, and all the files should be imported again.

Thanks for the response. He went from an OLB that couldn't get on the field to a starting DE, I was pretty happy with the results. Then the next time I looked he was cut down another 20~% and the position changed is listed twice in transactions. Commish has moved on, just wanting to avoid this in the future and not be scared to use this feature

Don't change position unless it makes a guy better is a good rule of thumb
