I vaguely remember reading somewhere on here that it's actually better to come in 5th or 6th than 4th. If I recall, the person posting said that a qualification game meant extra training and an extra home date whereas 4th place just meant the extra 19K prize money. Is that accurate?
I ask because I'm currently back in 4th after 5 weeks in 6th. I can't climb much higher but am still in the meat of a rough stretch where I've played # 1 (L), # 7 (W), # 2 (W) before I go play # 3 back to back, then 2-7-1 again. 6 out of 8 with minimal PIC chances against the top 3 isn't fair for a newbie :)
I'm just wondering if I should root for wins or mediocrity. Any extra training would be beneficial as I'm just getting my program started and want to know how to maximize my team this season. Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.
