FOFC Cup website update

I have decided to use a separate thread to notice you about the Cup site updates. Whenever this bumps to the top is your cue to go take a look :)

Right this moment, I've just uploaded the week 1 game results. Simply select "Week 1 results" from the dropdown.

I hope to have the standings updated and uploaded for tomorrow night, at worst for Friday night (I know I won't be watching the daytime Emmys, that's for sure! :D)

I have just updated the cup website. Here's what's new on the site:

- global standings
- all groups page

Also, I have made a page to show who would advance if group play ended now. Pretty insignificant for now, but it'll get more interesting as the weeks go by. There will eventually be a link from the top page, but for now, you need to access it directly, with the following link:

I have just finished uploading the update to the cup website. Here's what's new on the site:
- week 2 results
- global standings
- all groups page

I am showing only 3 of the 4 last qualifiers (best 3rd place) and they are the 3 with 4 points. I would need to get into tiebreakers a bit too much to figure out the 4th as there is a bunch of team with 3 points...

Also, the "advance" page has not been updated this week.

Thanks daedalus. Yeah, the visit went quite well. We had been bugging him to come visit us since we learned the news and he almost started crying like a baby when we told him he'd be grandpa for the second time. A great moment :)

I have just updated the cup website with all the new standings after the week 3 games. Remember that the first tiebreaker within a group, after the number of points, is "head-to-head" and that may explain how some team with a better goal for/goal against differential are third and not second, since they might have lost to the second place team in their group...

I have also update the page that to shows who would advance if group play ended now. It's getting more interesting as the weeks go by.

Eh...dacman made my life in the Cup much more difficult with that 6-5 (?!) victory over my Vandals. If I win out, I'm in, but at the rate things have been going (with scrub teams in league the last few weeks) I've been losing playing some starters. In the coming weeks, when I put in all reserves, I'm in trouble...consolation bracket, here I come :)

Well Frogman, I see that if I advance, that is as far as I will go. I am pretty sure that your team would humiliate my 'b' squad. And I don't see a need to even try and use the other players in that match.

As long as those other options don't include the use of any Crawfish with laser blasters instead of claws, I'm fine with it... :D

One thing I know is that if I advance a little into the tourney, my squad will be doing a whole lotta travelin'...

um....I just looked at the site who would advance, and it looked like that a 4th place team was included. was the rule the 4 best would advance, or did they have to be 3rd place finishers as well?

It looks like somehow third and fourth in group F are switched. Manhattan is really a third place team.

Nyar is right, Manhattan has 7 points and the 3rd place in group F has 6 points. Looks like I forgot to sort that group. I'll fix it tonight.
