I decided to experiment with daytrading. So, I picked up a passable scorer for $11,000, the next day, around 2PM, I listed him at $35,000.

Today he sold for $45,000:)

I've started to turn to the dark side of daytrading as well.

One thing I've started to do is get good deals on good players who are not immediately playable (red carded, injured, etc). Just have them sit on your bench until they're ready to play, and sell them for a nice profit.

I don't know but I read somewhere that DayTraders are not respected by other HT's and are actually hated for their cheap tactics. I read this in some discussion forum a couple of days ag. I forget.

Daytraders are disliked by people not willing to put in the rediculous amount of time the daytraders do to make the money. Some view it as an unfair advantage, while others think it corrupts the spirit of the game as a true soccer sim.

While I'm sure some people do truly think it takes away from the game as a soccer management sim, I believe for most of them its just envy. They don't have the time or patience to do what the daytraders do. Plus not everyone can do it, you need to have a relatively larger or well-checked market to be successful at it.

For me, its just a part of the game. But seeing as I'm a sim fan and not a true soccer fan my opinions on the matter start off biased.

Oh yeah, can't forget the people who are just bitter someone is selling the players they tried to sell for much more money.

btw, there really are no "cheap tactics" for daytraders.. It just a excess amount of spare time on their hands and patience.

Bought a player for about $50,000. He's a passable keeper so I decided to list him at about $80,000. No bids yet but he should get me a good profit.

Sure sucks that you have to have money to make money.

I think that's what makes the gameplay interesting. It's kind of like real life, small teams can only deal with marginal players while the bigger teams can sign/trade superstars. I haven't managed to make a lot of money, but I'm not in debt and already expanded my stadium and assuming no one from my group autopromotes I could contend for the series title next year as no one in the group buys new players. (Stupid long term strategy) It could just be my NYC mentality of spend, spend, spend though as I have to see and hear about the Yankees, Mets, Rangers, Knicks etc on a daily basis :)

Just picked up a 18 y/o passable scorer for 31K, this is a riskier move according to the market, but I'll start the bidding at 35K like last time.

I think I've turned daytrader for a day :)

Yesterday, I picked up a 18 y/o passable winger/inadequate playmaker for 28K that was valued at 60K. I train playmaking and my goal was simply to plug him as a friendly inner mid for a week or two, then use him as my starting winger.

What good surprise did I get thir morning when I saw my training update?? HE POPPED TO PASSABLE PLAYMAKING!!! Now he's a passable winger, passable playmaker, only 18 y/o. I'm taking a chance that a newbie could pick him up and I listed him at 125K.

:D

Funny thing is I had seen his last game played was this past Wednesday, as a winger. I wanted to ask in here if anybody thought he'd get his playmaking training with my team, now that he was a part of my team. Guess I got my answer, heh.

If you're really lucky/sneaky you can actually buy a player after his training update in the country he is in, and get him training in your country to boot in the same week -- or so I've heard.
