I know in theory that if you sell out a few games in a row, you should expand your arena. I sold out my last game, and should get at least 2, if not all 3 remaining home games to sell out as I'm playing the best teams in my series. I've got a 13,250 seat stadium, so my question is what should the next build be roughly?
I don't have the money to pay for it, or desire to go in debt just yet, but when the time comes should I go for a moderate increase to ~20,000 or try to double it at ~25,000? My supporter club is currently 644, but I'd imagine it should be at least 750-800 by the end of this season.

Be careful about building anything too big. Your current stadium is 20.57 times your current number of supporters and that's why you are selling out. Magic numbers in terms of size for your stadium is 15 times your number of supporters if you are not playing well, 20 times if you are winning a little, and 25 times if you are winning a lot.
If you go to 25k seats, this would be 38.8 times your number of supporters and you would never sell that out, but would incur the whole maintenance cost of a new construction. If you really expect to get to 800 fans by the end of the season, then tat 25k stadium would still be 31.25 times your number of supporters...

dola, also it only takes a few home games under the rain to throw a wrench in your plans. just ask The Afoci about how close he came to bankruptcy after he upgraded his stadium...

I don't anticipate a second upgrade this year. I was just wondering how far people went with that second boost seating wise. I probably won't feel confident enough to go for it until I've got 850-900 supporters or a lock on 1st place in my series next season. But thanks for the info FM :)

25,000 seats will sit 1000 supporter base
You could do 20,000, will cost 175k-250k, and then to 30,000 towards end of next season
or
25,000 now, will cost about 250k-325k, and 35,000 probably 'after' the next season...
I've got 16,020 and will be looking to upgrade probably around offseason
I'll probably go 25,000, cost about 225k, instead of 20,000, 150k
for the simple reason I don't like adding only 4,000 seats...

If you build it, they will come.

Alright then, here's what the FrogMan plans to do with his stadium :)
I'm at 756 supporters right now and getting 13 new ones twice a week (26 new supporters per week). This should bring me to 862 right before the game of week 12 which is the first of a two home game series. Also, following the 13 per update increase, this should bring my total number of supporters to 980 after the end of the season and I plan on autopromoting, thus adding an extra 10%, up to 1070 or so.
With all that being said, my stadium is now at 12,000 seats. I plan on increasing to 20,000 seats and for the upgrade to be ready for that first game of the two home game series. At that point, my stadium will be 23.2 times my number of supporters. At the end of the season my stadium would be 18.4 times my number of supporters. That was what I had calculated about a week or so ago, when I was deep in the red and was gonna get deeper in the red with the upgrade. Now my situation has improved and I might upgrade to 22k or something like that...

My goal is to build 100,000 seats of viewing pleasure for my fans. I have already priced this out and it will cost me a little over 2 million. Should be complete somewhere around season 22 or 23.
Season tickets are now available.
