I try to bid on a guy with 20 seconds left... and of course the server crasheds and I lose out... I ahd my eye on him and was going back and fourth witht he guy... And now I lost out on the best midfield trainee i could find! GAY!

LOL, Havok, you sure got that right. But some other times, you'll be on the other end of the crash, meaning you'll have a winning bid and nobody able to overbid you, as it happen when I got that 17yo passable playmaker for only 18k :D

I don't want to sound like a jerk, but if you're ready to quit after about a week, maybe this isn't the game for you. God knows I've been frustrated enough with the game, but you could have had the guy if you'd bid sooner. This isn't ebay, you won't sneak in a bid, you'll just end up extending the deadline 3 minutes anyway, so why wait?

BTW, I cannot find one decent inadequate keeper oin the U.S... I passed on 4k VERY HIGH(like 125k) Inads at age 24 and have since regreted it after taking advice. Makes me mad.

I was saying that having the server crash while I bid makes me want to quit. Not I will... There is a difference.

I didn't know about the 3 minute thing... but its less... because the bid ended at 3:46 and after he bid it went to 3:48, which is 2 minutes. I admit, I was trying to get cute... but its Hattricks screw up... so don't yell at me.

Calm down Billy, it takes time... Nobody here has built his team in a week, not even a month. You look and look, you'll eventually get maybe one player this week, then maybe one or two next week, and so on...

I bought two 17yo passable playmakers in the last two weeks, the first cost me 27k and the second only cost me 16k. They are out there, you just have to find them... Good luck, and try not smacking your computer into tiny pieces :D

Also, be nice to others. I'm not too sure what STFU means but I'm sure it wasn't nice. People will help you a lot around here, keep your cool and you'll be fine...

It took me 5 weeks to find all my trainees and I missed out on 2 other guys I would've preferred but didn't get for various reasons. We've been there.

there are 165 players that are 18yo or lower, at least passable playmaker and that cost less than 25k on the Sverige market...

To narrow it down, there are still 52 players that are 17yo, at least passable and that cost less than 15k on the Sverige market... Many of them have wretched passing/wretched defending, so I wouldn't touch them, but I've seen quite a few that have at least inadequate defending and are still priced really low. Use your bookmark function to save them and then get online when they get close to their deadline...

I've found that Passable PM's, poor passing, poor defending are very cheap. I've bought 2 for my B-team and both were in Solid form with excellent stamina for a combined 41k. They both get 2 1/2 stars in solid form.

It ain't easy, the hardest part is knowing when to let a player go and stop bidding. Bidding wars turn personal sometimes and people keep hitting that bid button without thinking.

I kind of agree with what he said. If you get all worked up like that and you're only trying to bid on trainees, what will it be when you play important games and the server goes down with 5 minutes to go in the game?

1. I'd much rather have the server go down with 5 mins in an important game then on a bid... because thats something that will get finished anyway... this I didn't even have a chance to get a chance to win this guy.

You seriously could've handled it better. I've lost more than a few bids to "dammit, it didn't take!" and I'm sure a lot of people who play have. At least the auction junkies for sure.

For what it's worth, I have been looking for 17 yo passable PM the last several weeks and have not found many that went at prices I was willing to pay (one went today for 21K, while I was picking up my car from the shop). I have not found anything good on the U.S. market. I bought one guy for 37K (inad def also) about a week ago. I don't follow the players with wretched passing and defense and would expect these to go cheap. I also bought a 17yo inad PM and inad passer for about 17K several weeks ago.

However these guys are my second round of trainies. I bought 18 and 19 yo (no secondaries) at first before my finances were stable since they were considerably cheaper. They are all starting now, and will be sold when they hit excellent. By then my two 17yos should be ready to start, and I will have money to buy a slightly better crop of trainees.

I understand your frustration, I lost the opportunity for a great player today because it would have put me about $2K over the 200K debt limit (my finances are in far better shape than that indicates too). Next week, I probably end of paying nearly twice as much for someone I don't like as much.

Good luck, eventually you'll find a could deal.
