View Full Version : FOF 2007 -- Questions after Playing Demo

I have two questions as I decide whether to purchase this version which, from what I am reading on this board as well as having played the demo, seems to have a number of attractive new features (especially the improved AI on the draft and other aspects of roster management that don't show up in the demo).

(1) In FOF 2004, many of the better free agents would turn down (and even refuse to consider) substantial offers that were below their asking price. That seemed to make some sense. The problem was that, after the free agency periods had ended, you would find that they were no longer listed as free agents but instead were now on an AI team, apparently having accepted an even lower -- often much lower -- offer from that team between the end of free agency and the next stage of the game. Has that been corrected?

(2) Is it possible to carryover to FOF 2007 a single-player dynasty from FOF 2004? I am particularly interested in this because I am a SP who does not quick sim seasons and instead become completely immersed in the week to week challenges of being a GM/coach. However, between work, kids, and coaching, I can only get through about 5 seasons a year with this style (i.e., I began playing FOF 2004 in January, 2004 with the 2003 season and have just completed the 2014 season). I'd like to keep my dynasty going in FOF 2007. Will I be able to do that or will I have to start over if I purchase FOF 2007?

I don't think there's a way to continue a FOF 2004 dynasty. I know Jim's going to offer to convert MP leagues from the old version, but I doubt he'd extend that to SP.

As to 1, there do seem to be a few good players who slip through free agency and sign for cheap, but it's much less than before, usually I only see a couple of players a year where it could have been many more before.
