Here is my attempt to work to compile all of the major FAQ's/Fixes we have so far for FOF 2007.

IS THERE EXPANSION/CUSTOM LEAGUE SIZE IN FOF 2007?

ANSWER: This feature is not available in FOF 2007. WHY DO THE BOX SCORES/GAME LOGS SHOW UP AS GARBLED TEXT?

PROBLEM: Your system is set to automatically open up .html files in a text editor instead of a web browser.
FIX:
Open My Computer
Open Tools -> Folder Options
Select "File Types" Tab
Select HTML
Select Change
Choose your Web Browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape, or another Web Browser) IN THE DEMO, WHY DOES PART OF THE SCREEN RUN OFF THE BOTTOM?

PROBLEM: You are at 1024 x 768.
FIX: The retail game has had this problem fixed. Expectations are that the demo will be fixed at some point also, but if you would like the demo to work for now you need to increase your screen resolution.WHY CAN'T I START A NEW GAME?

PROBLEM: You attempt to start a new game, but the OK button is greyed out and unable to be clicked.
FIX: Your league name must be 8 characters, less than 8 characters will not work.WILL SOMEONE BE MAKING A REAL PLAYER FILE?

PROBLEM: You don't read FOFC.
SOLUTION: The game comes with a real player file, but not real teams.WHAT DOES (x) MEAN FOR INJURY?

ANSWER: It means that the player has been re-injuredWHAT DOES A * MEAN ON THE INJURY SCREEN?

ANSWER: It means that the player is tired.WHEN VIEWING THE PLAYERS ON THE FA MARKET, WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE COLORS?

ANSWER:
GREEN: Affinity
BLUE: Conflict
RED: Pending offer for your team or expired contract from your team. WHY CAN'T YOU MAKE IT SO THAT THE WINDOWS STAY IN THE PLACE I SET THEM EACH TIME I LOAD THE GAME?

ANSWER:
You have no idea how hard I tried to do that a couple of years ago. MFC reports window positions very differently than one would expect, and it varies by operating system. I had it working for Windows Me, but it was a mess in Windows 2000. I bet I could do it for XP since things are more stable now, but people on older operating systems would see weird things like one-pixel sized windows that can't be moved and no access to the commands.

I made a nicer default layout, though, since the minimum screen resolution is larger.

Sometimes things that seem simple prove not to be. That's definitely an example.

Two to add:

What does (x) mean for an injury? (re-injured)
What does a * mean? (tired)

Both of these are new, and people (including myself) have asked about 'em a few times.

I wasn't 100% sure that the * is on the injury screen. If I'm wrong, let me know.

Any chance somebody can clarify the different colors of the players on the FA market when doing a search? I think I have figured out the red is for a UFA from my team, but what is green and blue?

Green = affinity
Blue = conflict

Did you select HTML Document?

That selection should work for you.

What do you mean "by itself"? Just look for HTML under the extensions column. That's the one you want. (Don't pay attention to what ever is under the "File Type" column)

If this has been answered, it should be added here because I haven't seen ayone talk about it yet......

Started Late FA and went into the Recommend screen. On the drop down menu for "Rank based on" I get Current Rating and Future Potential as normal, but then I also have both of those with a little box next to them. I get different lists using those as opposed to the former. What is the difference?

I don't have them with a little box in my drop down menu. My drop down list goes current value, future potential, current screen passing, etc. when position is set to All Players.

Odd.

Maybe it's a bug then. I get it on All Players, and All Non-kickers lists. Only saw in in late FA, though I suppose I could have missed it in early FA.

on the real player file question, you should add that there's also a third party real player file and a real player draft file. Also, the "problem" is not that "you don't read FOFC." Nothing is more annoying than a snobby faq. Many FOF players have no interest in wasting their time reading a forum that typically doesn't even discuss the game. If you're going to make a faq, don't treat your readers as idiots who haven't done their homework. Just give the questions and answers.

On the menu bar across the top of the window. It should go File - Edit - View - Favorites - Tools - Help
