Ok, i've purchased the new game, and I'm sure that I'm going to love it as long as I can figure out this interface. This is my first version of FOF, so wish me luck.

Well done, robster1225. I hope you work out a little better than the prior 1,224 robsters. They were all assholes, except 937. I liked that guy. He was pretty funny in a quiet sort of way.

Don’t be afraid to ask. People here got a strange humour as you have properly already noticed but they are great helping out with FOF questions.<O:p</O:p

It's my first as well. I've played APCF, Strat, and BBCF. With the exception of a few questionable play calls, the box-score details look very accurate. I think I'll be playing this one for a long time.

Ok, first question, has anyone created historic rosters? I've seen the historic draft files, but I have no idea how to use them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can't really call yourself and FOFer until Fritz pays you a visit and does unnatural things with marshmallow Peeps while reading scripts from the TV show T.J. Hooker.

Good point.
I think I saved some of her pictures that she posted. I think I'm gonna go fof right now.

Start with one of the historical rosters from the top and select it when you create your game. Each time you finish staff hiring at the beginning of each subsequent season, you'll get a chance to import the appropriate draft files from the lower part of that link.

Good luck with that.
If you love driving a rusted-out Pinto with an F1 engine, you'll love it.

I used to think this, but over time I've grown to love the simplistic interface. I mean just try to plod through the ootp interface and suddenly I'm very happy with Jim's design. Granted, the same interface with a few graphical tweaks could make it better, but I love how easy it is to get the information I want. To each his own though.

Whatever happened to that guy anyway? I really thought he'd stick around.
I'm officially an FOFer for the first time since the original (not counting TCY). Kind of feels good. Not quite as immersive as FM, but this version is quite a bit better than the other demos I've tried. I'm 3 games into my first season and still interested. That's a good sign :)

That was the worst William Shatner performance I had ever seen. To this day I wonder where the hell he was putting the marshmellow Peeps, he polished off 18 bags.
