Does the game viewer (3eric I believe) for 2004 work with 2007? If not, are there plans by any of the utility makers to make a game viewer. I like the solevision feature, but would like to see a little eye candy like a field with a marker.

None of the old viewers work as the logs are in a completely different (and now binary) format. I won't know if I'll port mine until I get a good hard look at Solevision and decide if it's missing anything for me.

I do intend to attempt to figure out the format, though, as I'd love to be able to dump every play from every game into a giant database so we can write utilities to go back and dig out all kinds of interesting situational stats that aren't covered in the game. I think Primelord's old QB stat dump was just the tip of the iceberg of what's possible with the new setup.

I wish Solevision had game viewers for all teams to view.

I like the sound of this.

i figured out what I would love to see in solevision. In the dark blue box at the top left of the screen, put a field graphic with the ball location. At least it would give you a feeling of progression down the field and a general flow of the game. Custom endzone logos would be a plus. Most of the time at least in my games this box is generally empty, save an occasional stat or two.

You can just watch a single game for your team with the scoreboard option (at top of game sim screen). It has a field and football and update on stats.

This feature was not that good in the prior version because the game description was not very good, but now with the updated game description, it comes pretty close to the viewer.

I have started this as well. I am trying to make it easy and look at the universe files when they are first generated right after league creation. Started with the coaches and scouts names and found them. Currently looking at the .fpd file, looking for patterns and such. I must say that this is pretty hard without much of a reference point. If you have any points or tips I would appreciate it.
