Ok, as i'm loving Skydog work doing studies, i thought on contributing too.
What i want ot study is not the amount of injuries as clearly they will be higher with the setting at 200, but if at 200 there are too many long injuries.
I think that the amount of injuries is too low at 100 compared with the real NFL (just what I think, I have not studied it) but that setting it at 200, there are too much long term injuries. This is what i want to test.
I have simulated 10 seasons with the injuries set at 100 and then another 10 with the injuries set to 200.
Here are the settings:
- Every time i started in 2006 with the default roster.
- Coaches and scouts manage deep charts, game plans, roster, FA signings etc.
- Dificutly level is Wall Street (don't know if it affects the amount of injuries).
I have divided the injuries in 4 groups:
From 15 to 21 weeks: I would say this are the season ending injuries that happen on the first weeks of the season causing the player to miss most ofthe season if not the full it.
More than 21 weeks: I would say this are the ba dinjuries that can become career ending in a lot of cases, most of them are knee injuries.
Carried to next season: These are the players still injuried from past season at the start of a new one.
Unknown duration: I have tracked these ones apart fom the rest as some are not real injuries related to the sport, like depression. There are also a good amount of hamspring injuries with unknown duration, but all them allow the players to keep playing.
