Probably SkyDog will make OffTopic posts not count too. Only posts discussing the Holy of Holies, FOF will count

I don't see the humongous need for it, unless Dog's afraid we will drown out discussion on FOF2007.

And if so, what that says about folks here (that talking about FOF is good, but we're more of a generalist board these days)

Read the announcement. This move is for the benefit of those who do not read the board every day. We've grown to the point where the front page (even with 50 posts visible) was only threads from the current day.

with regards to post counts shouldn't fof related threads be off-topic and off-topic threads be on-topic. Then fof2007 could be off-off-topic...:D
