The very first game of the week, you can see the time is messed up into the negative numbers. It corrected itself and I'm really not "worried" about it, just wanted to post it.
It only happens right at the start of the solevision viewing as I assume those were the seconds remaing on the last play of the game.

here's one with player grades in the FA screen. looks like just a missing decimal point so he's graded 59 and not 5.9

not sure if this is a "bug" or not, but when I'm viewing the draft preview and using the "P" and "N" keys to cycle through players, once I click on the interview button (and is there a way we could get a hotkey for that btw?), I am no longer able to cycle using "P" and "N"

I wish I could remember exactly what happened here, but here's the way I seem to recall it:
I was calling my own plays in the first preseason game. I was on offense, and the defense committed an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. One of their players was ejected for throwing his helmet. After I accepted the penalty, I could no longer see the scoreboard. I could still call plays and see the play-by-play, but the scoreboard was gone. I couldn't figure out a way to get it back, so I just simmed through the rest of the game.

That's happened to me quite a few times. I'm not sure what happened since I fast sim throughout the game, but the scoreboard "locks up" and remains static while the PBP continues.

Possible minor text error in patch 6.0c. I probably would not have noticed it, except I received both messages during the same year. After the draft when player suspensions are handed out, I have seen the following text.
tested positive for alcohol use, in violation of the league's strict anti-drug policy.
tested positive for drug use, in violation of the league's strict anti-substance abuse policy.

The fumbles total on the team summary page for the offense still seems to have some sort of problem with it. Most of the teams have inflated fumbles on the team summary page. When I look at all of the individuals on that team, it doesn't add up.

Is it me or does penalties like false start and offsides get called AFTER the play has run?

From what I know, the play is stopped on a false start after the snap of the ball, but before any play is run. On offsides I think they only blow the whistle when someone has an unimpeded path to the quarterback, therefore stopped the play as well.
Edit....nevermind, you must be referring to how the game calls it. Don't listen to me.

Well, you still don't have it perfect. :p
False start is a dead ball foul, meaning that as soon as its spotted (which has to be before the snap, because if it was later, it wouldn't be a false start :D) play is stopped and the penalty is assessed.
I'm kinda unclear on this, but there are two flavors of offsides that can be called on the defense.
1.) Encroachment - When a defensive player goes "unabated to the quarterback" (when he crosses the line of scrimmage and touches an offensive player).
2.) Lining up in the neutral zone.
Encroachment is a dead ball foul. Lining up in the neutral zone results in what is essentially a free play for the offense. After the play is run, the offense gets to choose between 10 yards or the result of the play.

Maybe I'm nuts, but when watching games last night, I thought I would see a play run and then a penalty like "offisdes" or "false start" at the END of that play... which obiviously was wrong.
I'll really look for it today.

I'm beginning to see a gamestopping issue here - I'm having starters released off of MY team DURING the season. My starting CB (67/67) was released week #2 and my starting DT (62/62) was released the 14th week of the season.
I had no cap issues that I was aware of and neither were injured according to the transaction log. Infact both were picked up by other teams in the middle of the season. I never even realized this til I saw that my DT and CB were the #1 and #2 rated free agents.
Thanks to this I lost two talented players, and have 25 mil in dead cap space (both were on recent long term deals).

I've been calling my plays the last two games, and what I seem to see is the offsides is called at the end of the play and the false start before the play. I take it to be an offsides call where it's a "free play" and you have the choice of keeping the result of the play. I'm not sure if this is what you are seeing.

Just trying to eliminate one possibility. In your global options, do you have "Scouts automatically sign players to fill roster" set to "Yes"?
Was anyone signed when the player was released? Were you quick simming through the season?

I do move at a pretty fast pace during the season... usually leaving the slowdown for the off-season so I'm not sure whether anyone was signed in place of them but as stated above, they shouldn't be releasing starters. Good starters at that.
I also noticed that the computer was resigning (I think, or possibly signing) lower tier players for me during the first FA period which I thought was odd.

I may have missed something here, but the draft order is mixed because teams with tied records switch draft places per round so it makes it look jumbled but it's actually realistic.

Maybe you needed the cap room???
I'm guessing this is directed towards my problem - even if I need cap room releasing two 10+ million (one on a new 4 year 53.04 mil extension and the other in the second year of a 3 year 35 mil extension) pro bowl calibre players during the season is not even remotely realistic under any sport. One is bad, two is terrible. 3 weeks before our playoff game my best DT is released, not cool.
I can't dispute whether I needed the cap one way or another because I honestly didn't pay attention. I have no idea whether this has happened before either, because I never thought to check. They aren't listed as my former players because they are signed mid season, so they aren't red during fa. I just noticed because I've had both these players their entire careers and recognized the names.

Can someone point me to the fix?Yes, it was mentioned in the bug thread, but it was not "fixed," because it is not a bug. If teams have the same record, they rotate drafting order in rounds after the first. So, if five teams have the same 8-8 record, and the one who drafts first of those five has the 15th pick, that team's picks would be 1(15), 2(19), 3(18), 4(17), 5(16), 6(15), and 7(19) picks. This is spelled out in the in-game help:Teams with the same record rotate their positions through later rounds. For instance, if Buffalo, San Diego and Tennessee all finish 7-9, the team with the lowest position in the standings would draft first in the first round, but third in the second round, second in the third round and first again in the fourth round.

I also noticed that the computer was resigning (I think, or possibly signing) lower tier players for me during the first FA period which I thought was odd. When you have it set for the computer manage minor roster decisions, it will re-sign some of your RFA's for you during FA-1.

This is more of a quirk than a bug, I guess. I had to let my QB become a FA one year, but I re-signed him during FA-1. The game correctly lists him as having joined my team the year he was drafted (2009), but he is listed as having been acquired via Free Agency, I assume as the result of the 2016 FA signing.

If it is just a coesmetic bug in how acquired, no problem. But if waiting until FA to resign a player is messging with cohesion, that could be a problem.

It was with the initial real player rosters and year 2015. I was actually thinking it may have something to do with how the contracts escalate so much in the latter seasons it comes down to cutting cheaper youth or expensive veterans. That could be wrong too though, but it's the only thing that would make any sense.

Running patch 'c' I am in the middle of free agency. I've made an offer to WR Kelley Washington whose Bengal contract has expired. They too make an offer to re-sign him. In week two the free agency stage window indicates that Cincy got him back ("Signed" in the Status column and "CIN" in Team column). But in weeks three through six, Washington continues to show in the list of free agents receiving offers, still as "Signed" to "CIN". The player card contract button is "View Contract" not "Offer Contract" so I figure something is screwy with him getting kicked off the list and move on. Then in Week 7, my available cap space drops as I sign Washington too. He's on my roster, not Cincy's. His card shows both transactions.

I don't know if this is the case for all players who play for more than one team in the same year, this is the first time I noticed this.

I just got this exact same error today.
If fact I know exactly when it occured in the game. He is my game log:
<table bgcolor="#ffcc00" border="0" cellspacing="1" width="98%"><tbody><tr> <td align="left" bgcolor="#ffffff">Kansas City: I formation, strength is left. The defense is in a 34 and 2-deep bump-and-run coverage, expecting the pass.
1-10-KCY20 (3Q: 02:43) Larry Johnson ran inside the left guard for 1 yard. Tackled by S Clinton Hart, assisted by ILB Tim Dobbins. PENALTY: Kansas City was called for Unsportsmanlike Conduct.</td></tr> <tr> <td align="left" bgcolor="#ffffff">Kansas City: Five-Receiver Spread formation, strength is right. The defense is in a 34 with nickel personnel and 2-deep bump-and-run coverage, keying aggressively on the pass.
2-19-KCY11 (3Q: 02:34) Trent Green pass was dropped by TE Jason Dunn.</td></tr></tbody></table>
As you can see, the opposing team (Kansas City) rushed for 1 yard and then was called for Unsportmanlike Conduct. Right after this occured, the screen went blank. This never occured to me when the defense was responsible for the Unsportmanlike Conduct, but it did happen when the offense did.
On top of that, and I didn't look into it, but I thought that the team should have lost 15 yards with this penalty after the foul. It looks like they lost 10 yards on the very next play in which I couldn't see the scoreboard.
Since I couldn't see the time, I had to simulate the rest of the game, but this is the only time I had seen it occur and this was the only time I had seen the unsportmanlike conduct on the offensive side of the ball.

FWIW, this was the case for 2k4 as well.
I'm not sure if this is a minor bug or not:
In the Team Statistics Screen, in Passing Defense, there's a column 'OpPDPct' which is suppose to be This Team's Pass Defense Percentage.
The 'Op' in 'OpPDPct' is for the 'Opposing team' (as in the Passing Offence screen).
So I'm not sure if this column is giving the Passing Defense of this team or the Opposing team i.e. is the column heading incorrect or is the statistic incorrect or is there a 3rd option?

3-6-DET28 (2Q: 00:21) J.T. Atkins pass completed to TE Ben Watson for 9 yards. Tackled by S Kevin Kaesviharn, assisted by OLB Lance Briggs. Watson gained 1 yard after the catch. Detroit's J.T. After the game, I check the injury report and he is doubtful with turf toe.

Okay, I believe I ran into another bug....
Since I tend to do playcalling for all my games, I noticed that two of my players ended up with injuries that did not show up when the play descriptions were rolling along. Here are the injuries that occured during the game:
1-20-SDO48 (1Q: 02:31) LaDainian Tomlinson ran inside the right tackle for 1 yard. Tackled by DE
Courtney Brown. OLB D.J. Williams knocked down Paul Michalewicz to break up the play. San
Diego's Jamie Dejesus was hurt on the play. This appears to be a minor hamstring injury. He should
be able to remain in the game.
3-7-DEN10 (4Q: 01:03) Michael Turner ran a trap outside the right tackle for 5 yards. Tackled by
ILB Al Wilson, assisted by DE Courtney Brown. The ball was fumbled and recovered by DEN OLB
Ian Gold to the DEN05. Denver's Darrent Williams was hurt on the play. This appears to be a minor
shoulder injury. He should be able to remain in the game.
However during the game, as I was adjusting the depth chart due to the players tiring, I noticed that LT (probable) and Philip Rivers (doubtful) had injuries as well and there was nothing in the game or the log that had shown this. It wasn't until after the game that I saw that Rivers has a hyperextended elbow and LT has some ribcage bruising. Although I won the game, I was very confused when I was looking at the depth chart during the game to see they were injured and yet they performed normally.

You know, sometimes when you get hit like that in the torso, it affect you down there in the toe like that there. You can hold it in up there, but the hurt is actually down there. A toe is attached to the torso, but the pain comes up through the leg and in all that there is something where you don't know just where the pain is actually coming from. One time, Kenny Stabler thought he broke his arm, but it turned out he had athletes foot. It was probably the first time that Boom, tough actin' Tinactin cured a broken arm. Turducken. mhass, could you please check in on this? I spent some time looking into it last night, couldn't find any other path to get there. I think it was fixed in 6.0c, but the problem was in stage 2, not stage 7.
I had my head in 2004 mode and was thinking the date was part of the saved game name and that's obviously not the case any longer. I remember I started that career to check another bug that got fixed so it was probably done between b and c. Unless it pops up again, consider it closed. For the record, the bug occured while running c. I know that for certain. Thanks again for your concern.

Guys I have a problem that I feel is a error in the logic for trading. Obviously it is a lot tougher now, which is appreciated. However I have a situation where I didn't renegotiate with a player that held out. I have since franchised this player for three straight seasons and with the new 120% rule (which I like) this guy is getting very costly to keep. He is a top RB going into his 7th year with not a single year below 1600 yards/season. He is franchised at around 9.4mil, but is willing to renegotiate for a long term contract and a number around 3.6mil for the first season in a 4 year deal. I was going to try to trade him, but no general manager expressed any interest and when I tried to trade him I get the "opponent is unwilling to take on the salary of the following player:" message.
The problem I have is I would assume the AI GM's would be able to understand they can renegotiate with this guy and his cap number won't be 9.4 this season. Seems like a bug or a flaw in the game. I know I certainly wouldn't be expecting to pay that number if I traded for the guy. Am I wrong with this thought?

I found a bug in the blitz settings under a 4-3 defense. Everytime I tried to adjust the %s, it kept changing them. I then added up the %s for the blitzes and they only totaled 92.5. Not sure if this is the case in a 3-4 defense though, haven't tried it.

Do you mean in Miscellaneous Settings? If so I don't seem to have a problem.

A minor bug I noticed - the "Grey Sheet" window includes columns for Old Team and New Team, but both show the same team (the new one) for every player on the list. This was during the first week of the following season.

The PRPct and TkPct fields do not sort correctly on the Defense tab of the career statistics screen. They appear to work fine on the individual statistics screen.

I did a quick skim of the thread, and I hope I'm not repeating anything by reporting this:

Seems that my scoreboard has a habit of disappearing! It's usually after I either decline or accept penalty. It gets a bit rough for me to figure out what the score is after awhile. So far, it's happened to me at least twice throughout my season. :(
EDIT: Calling plays here on in still results in a blank, irregardless of what I do.

Does this happen for you after every penalty or a specific one. Pumpy was the first to report this in the thread, but he couldn't remember the exact play. In my case, it happened after an unnecessary roughness call that occured when I was on offense. Check yout PBP to see what the penalty was, because that seemed to be the only occassion when I got the blank screen.

Unsportsmanlike Conduct was the penalty that I accepted:
Arizona: Weak formation, strength is left. The defense is in a 34 and 3-deep zone coverage, expecting the pass.
2-6-ARI44 (1Q: 07:05) J.J. Arrington ran around left end for 12 yards. Tackled by S J.B. Thacker. Key block delivered by Deuce Lutui. Lutui ran over Jacques Cesaire to open the hole. PENALTY: Arizona was called for Unsportsmanlike Conduct.
Arizona: Single-Back formation, strength is right. The defense is in a 34 and strong-side man, otherwise cover-7 zone coverage, expecting the run.
1-10-ARI41 (1Q: 06:21) Matt Leinart pass completed to WR Larry Fitzgerald for 19 yards. Tackled by S Terrence Kiel. The receiver ran his route right over the middle of the field. Fitzgerald gained 4 yards after the catch.
If I reflect on the other time this happened... I believed it was an Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty as well. It's come to the point where when I click that 'Penalty' option to either accept or decline, I kind of hold my breath a bit, and try to remember what time remains in the quarter, what quarter it is, and what the current score situation is. :(
EDIT: Also, it doesn't happen me for every penalty (false starts, offsides, holding calls). When it comes to the Un* penalties though (just a wild guess on my part) I kind of hold my breath on.
I haven't seen this mentioned in this thread so I will post two things I have noticed.
1. It seems like every stadium in the game was built in 1989 except for the ones that were constructed during my career. Also when I look at the franchise value it says my stadium is rated poor but when I look at the overview I see excellent in everything.
2. I have not had one player inducted into the hall of fame. I am in 2015 so I am not sure if I have to wait alittle longer or what but I thought I should mention it.
3. This is not bug but I guess a request it would be nice to have a truely dominate player every decade or so. I.E. Wayne Brain a totally maxed out CB who played like he is one. I shouldn't see him getting 66 passes caught on him with 23 defensed. If anything his numbers should be lower as teams would try to avoid him. However I know that the game doesn't have a avoid this player type thing so I dunno maybe a future version.

Yeah I was going to post this as well. After training camp, the Grey Sheet reports the new team as also the old team. The screen is fine during the offseason, though.

1. You started the game with Level Economic Playing Field. That sets every stadium the exact same, and every city the exact same. The rason your stadium is rated poor is because it isn't better than any other stadium in the league, and they have been renovating and building new stadiums.
2. You should have some HOFers in the next 5 years or so. Players get into the HOF 5 years after they retire.
3. It's possible he's not really a maxed out CB, that's just what your scout sees him at. Dominate players do emerge.

Anyone else getting this or am I the only one? I've checked this 3 or 4 times and it keeps "correcting" it.

Just stumbled upon this one ... San Diego opened a new stadium in 2015 in my current league. It's great except for one problem -- they forgot to put seats in. Stadium capacity is listed as zero and there is zero attendance at every game. This is reflected in their income statement as well.
I've been flipping around, but there is an excellent chance that they started building the stadium in 6.0b and opened it in 6.0c. There is an equal great chance that I patched from b to c during the stadium phase. If a patch is available, I typically patch following the end of the season as I'm starting the next season.

I didn't start with a level Economic Playing Field. Everything was normal until I tried to get a new stadium in Oakland. Then I noticed everyone's stadium was built in 1989.

I'm sure you had all good intentions, but what you're referring to is what happens when you have Level Economic Playing Field. So perhaps you made a mistake. Or something happened during the patch. But whatever the case, that's Level Economic Playing Field at work.

Then we get the exact same error. I'm sorry, but I mentioned Unnecessary Roughness, but my penalty was actually Unsportmanlike Conduct. Check out my previous post to see. It seems that if you get this penalty of your offense, the screen goes blank. If the opponent commits the same penalty on offense or defense, there is no problem. So hopefully we actually narrowed this one down.
