View Full Version : Stupid Question (meaning I likely already know the answer): RFAs in FOF

So is there a way to sign away RFAs from other teams in FOF and is there compensation involved? I'm somewhat surprised that this feature doesn't exist. Even Madden, for example, has this option where you sign to one of 3 different salary levels and receive compensation based on that level if the player gets a better offer and you decide not to match. Apparently this isn't the case in FOF? So what's the point of an RFA then other than they have to be signed by you or released?

The way FOF Handles RFA's is this -
They are available to be signed only by you until the end of FA-1.
After FA-1, anyone can sign RFA's.

Clarification: Pre-Draft FA-1 is for renegotiation of your own players. The rest of the Pre-Draft if for UFA and your own RFA
Post draft FA-1 is when you can start to sign RFA from other teams.

We're just using different terminology.
You're saying FA-1 Stage 1 is for renegotiation and that the rest of FA-1 is for UFA and your own RFA by my terminology.
Then FA-2 stage 1 is when you can start to sign RFA from other teams.

So really I'm right then? There is no point to RFAs really other than you get longer to sign them? Other teams cannot beat your offer and then you don't get compensation from those teams, correct?

You are correct.

MP would have been really fun if this has been added. But it wasn't.
