I've decided to start a new NCAA 08 dynasty with the Ole Miss Rebels and I want to get FOFC involved. Every season I'll take five guys to add as recruits for that season.

Sean Treacy is a bulldozing RB who is probably the nations most powerful back. He is small but compact and can carry the ball all night long. He is getting interest from all the top programs but right now Michigan leads the way.

Chase Hunter is another Michigan lean who loves the Big Ten and will most likely wind up playing for one of those schools in the conference. He has a power arm and can throw every type of pass, just don't expect him to beat you on his feet as he has marginal ability to get out of the pocket and make plays.

The top shutdown man in the Nation, Al is big but not a polished tackler yet, though he doesn't need to be since teams stopped throwing his way midway through his JR season at Permian. Mighty is a ball hawk who has a nose for the big play and although he doesn'st put fear in WR through his vicious hits, he puts fear into QB's because of his incredible insincts.

Wahoo is the fastest player in the Nation most likely with 4.3 speed. He still has some concentration issues but no one will make more highlight reel plays then he will. Scouts compare him to UF player Percy Havin in that if you get it to him anywhere on the field he can go the distance. A true dream weapon for any school.

When the only person you can be compared to is Antonio Gates you're something special. When you're told you can play in the NFL as an 18 year old, you're the best player in the Nation. That is Jessie Huffman. He has an NFL players body and with an NFL players skills. He is vicious. An amazing athlete with excellent cordination and amazing hands, Huffman will generally be uncoverable by LBs and has the type of talent to catch 100 passes.

OLE MISS OFFENSE

The Ole Miss offense will be spear headed by a couple of transfer QB's in Jevan Snead (85 OV) and Brent Schaffer (83 OV) Both have good speed and will be see the field though the fact Snead is a Sophmore and Schaffer a senior will put the ball more heavily in Sneads hands. Schaffer has great speed (89) however so will be used for an option attack.

Our offense will rely heavily on another transfer kid in Benjarvus Green Ellis (88 OV). We have a decent stable of RBs and with FB Eric Nicks (91) leading the way Green Ellis should put up big #s. Our WR's are solid with AJ Jackson (85), Burnell Wallce (85) and Mico McSwain (84) leading the way. The trifectsa of juniors will hopefully make use of the eight man boxes we'll see with our run heavy offense. TE Robert Lane (86) is another kid who should do wonder for us, especially on third downs and in the red zone.

On the OL Junior Michael Oher (88) will be the leader. On the other side RT Darryl Harris (86) is solid. Inside we need the kids to step up and play hard because in the SEC we're going to run into a lot of terrifying defenses.

OLE MISS DEFENSE

On the defensive line LE Peria Jerry (87) is gonna be expected to come up with huge plays while RE Chris Bowes (84) takes away the threat of a double team. Our DT Marcus Tillman (88) is undersized but moves like a DE. We'll need him to take the DT's on himself so our ends can get to the QB unabaited.

Our LB's are mediocre, headlined by JR LOLB Antonio Turner (79). We have a FR and SO on the right side and in the middle so we'll have the potential to do some goods but our DL is going to take a lot of heat in order to make plays to keep us in games.

Our secondary is good thanks to our safeties. RS FR FS Allen Walker (83) will only get better as he ball hawks for us, while impact player SS Jamarca Sanford (92) will be one of the Nations best. Only a Junior, Sanford has the chance to work himself up into the first round of the NFL Draft with a good season.

OLE MISS SPECIAL TEAMS

The strength of our team, we shouldn't lose any games thanks to bad special teams. K Joshua Shene (86) is only a sophmore and already one of the SEC's best and most consistent. P Rob Park (71) isn't great but he has a good ability to get the ball inside the 20 which is all we'll ask.

Russell Wallace (99) and AJ Jackson (99) are phenominal Kick Returners, and incase one goes down, Mico McSwain (99) can come in without any problems. Wallace (99) will also handle the punts for us. We fully expect several returns for TD's this year as these kids are all far too talented not to take one back to the barn.

Our conference slate is tough, but Vandy, Alabama and Mississippi State are all winnable games. Our goal is 7-5, with a little luck, 8-4. 6-6 would be tolerable, while anything less is a dissappointment.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL TONIGHT
OLE MISS VS MEMPHIS

The Ole Miss Rebels took on the Memphis Tigers today in a matchup that flew under the radar but definetly delivered some bone crushing hits and amazing highlight reel plays.

The Tigers scored first on a 15 yard TD pass from Hankin to Jones. We managed to answer back though when Jamarca Sanford picked off a Hankins pass and took it 55 yards to the house to make it 7-7.

The second quarter saw Memphis score on a 1 YD TD run by Gatheir, only for the Rebels to once again answer as QB Brent Shafer hit WR McSwain for a 14 yard strike. Memphis would go back up on a 47 yard FG by Mack but Schaffer would again do damage, this time on a 45 yard TD Keeper. The offensive explosion kept coming in this game though as on the subsequent kickoff Memphis KR Duke Calhoun went 89 yards for a TD. And to top it off at the end of the half Ole Miss QB Jevan Snead hit WR Jackson for a 20 yard TD pass to put Ole Miss up 28-24 at the half.

The third quarter saw a battle of wills defensivley only highlighted by Snead hooking up with McSwain for a 73 yard TD pass.

In the fourth, Ole Miss K Shene would hit a 48 yard FG and that would put a capper on it as Ole Miss would go on to a 38-24 W.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL TONIGHT
OLE MISS (1-0) VS MISSOURI (1-0)

In a game that was expected to be a showcase for Missouri Heisman Hopeful Chase Daniel, it turned out to be a nightmare as the Rebels destroyed the Tigers 36-15 in Oxford.

Missouri started out well with a 3-0 lead after the opening drive but then Ole Miss FB Nicks ended an impressive drive with a 1 yard score to make it 7-3.

The second quarter then Green Ellis punch it in from 4 yards out but another Missouri FG made it 14-6 at the half.

The third quarter saw things pick up. Missouri WR Franklin was the recipient of a 3 yard strike from Daniel to make it 14-12, but the impending 2 pt conversion failed and then Brent Schaffer came in and took another keeper to the barn from 32 yards out. Missouris kicker would hit a mammoth 54 yard FD to keep it interesting at 21-15 as we went into the fourth.

The fourth quarter was all Jamarca Sanford as he picked off two Daniel throws and took them both to the house. Both were off blitzes that saw Daniel get ripped and the ball fluttering harmlessly out of his hand. With the final TD in the books the game was over and Ole Miss celebrated a somewhat upset victory.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL TONIGHT
OLE MISS (2-0) VS VANDERBILT (1-1)

SEC play kicked off today for the Rebels and the Commodores and for one quarter things looked interesting. Unfortunatley for Vandy, the second quarter had to be played as well.

After a few back and forth drives Vandy was in scoring position but ended up missing a FG from 24 yards out. It'd be the cloest Vandy would get all day. As the first quarter winded down Ole Miss QB Jevan Snead hit WR Green for a beautiful 26 yard post to make it 7-0.

Then the second quarter was all Rebels. Green Ellis made it 14-0 with a 2 yard TD run. TE Lane would catch a 5 yard pass for Snead to make it 21-0. A 48 yard FG from Shene would make it 24-0 and finally, another 2 yard run by Green Ellis would make it 31-0 after the first half.

With all the starters out, the fans in attendance saw a scoreless third quarter. The final score saw RB Eason with his own 2 yard run to make it 38-0 which would be the final score.

Another impressive display from the Rebels, who now have the gigantic task of stopping the defending National Champion Florida Gators next week.

Notes from around the Nation

- #1 Prospect TE Jessie Huffman has a new top three, lead by Texas, Nebraska and Florida State. All three schools have offered scholarships and he is set to visit all three. Also, Huffman is planning on visting Michigan and Oklahoma though neither team has offered him as of yet.

- #3 Prospect Al Mighty is involved in a serious battle between Texas A&M and Florida State. Both teams have offered and he has visits set up. It's a coin flip right now on where he may go. Don't count out LSU however, as the Tigers have their own offer on a table, and with a visit in week 6, Mighty still may change his mind. Mighty has two other visits scheduled with Texas & Florida.

- #7 prospect, QB Jace Hunter, has a pretty good feeling about Michigan with many pundits thinking he may commit there at any time. Ohio State remains recond but surprisingly is LSU is in contention as well. Miami and Penn State round out his new top 5 with all five offering schollies and visits planned to the schools.

- #10 ranked RB Sean Treacy has a unique top 5 these days. Oklahoma leads the way, with Florida on their heels. Colorado and Texas are still not out of it and the shocker is BYU has a chance to land Treacy. While the top 4 have offered, BYU is still waiting to see if Treacy has gnnuine interest in them. A week 10 visit should make things far more clear.

- #13 ranked WR Wahoo McDaniel is in the middle of an SEC recruiting war as hometown Florida is very narrowly edging out LSU for his services, but Georgia is right there as well. Ohio State and Florida State round out his top 5, though only the top 3 have offered schollies.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL TONIGHT

OLE MISS (3-0) VS #4 FLORIDA (3-0)

People were wondering if an upset was in the air in Oxford, MS today as a banged up Florida team lead by hampered QB Tim Tebow came into town. The makings of an upset were there and early on it sure looked like the goal posts may come down.

Ole Miss went up 10-0 after the first, following a 22 yard pass from Schaffer to Jackson and a 30 yard FG from Shene. Ole Miss had a stout D that was all over the field and the crowd was going nuts..

.. Then came the second quarter where Tebow lead Florida to 20 straight points, as he threw and ran for a TD to make it 20-10 at the half.

The third quarter saw two more Tebow TD passes from 6 and 58 yards out to make this game a route. The fourth quarter saw Tebow get his 5th TD of the game on a 2 yard run and even though Ole Miss scored on Jacksons 2nd TD of the game it was too little too late as Florida rolled 44-17.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL TONIGHT
OLE MISS (3-1) @ #24 GEORGIA (3-1)

In a game that meant a lot for both schools, the Ole Miss Rebels looked to get back on track vs an up and down Georgia Bulldog team that, while 3-1, was very jekyl and hyde in their performances. Early on, it definetly showed which Bulldog team showed up.

Ole Miss QB Brent Schaffer kept an option himself and took it 63 yards for the first quarters only TD to give the Rebs an early 7-0 lead, and subsequently silencing the Bulldog crowd.

In the second it was more Schaffer, this time on a 6 yard scramble, to make it 14-0 Ole Miss. Georgia would answer though, getting 3 back on a 48 yard FG on a drive that saw a TD called back for clipping.

The third quarter saw Shene hit from 31 to make it 17-3, but Matthew Stafford hit WR Goodman for a 24 yard TD to make it 17-10. The game was broken open though on the ensuing kickoff when Benjarvus Green Ellis took the kickoff 101 yards to the house to make it 24-10.

Each team traded FG's in the fourth, but Ole Miss would keep on holding and running time down. Georgia managed a score with 31 seconds left as Stafford and Goodman connected again from 44 yards out but it wasn't enough as Ole Miss hung on for the upset, 27-20.

Not much to report from this game as it wasn't on National TV but it saw a lax Ole Miss team squeak by the Bulldogs of Louisana Tech 17-10 as Jevan Snead was named Game MVP throwing for 2 TD's while Benjarvus Green ran for over 100 yards for the second consecutive game.

Ole Miss looks to get bowl eligible next week vs a struggling Alabama team.

FOFC Updates

RB Sean Treacy: Treacy decided to sign with the Florida Gators, a definite shocker, especially considering their talent there. Treacy, 81 OV, will likely RS this year as he stuck at fifth on the depth chart behind a 94 OV SR, 88 OV JR, 88 OV SO and 84 OV SO. Many feel Treacy will be transfering after this year plays out.

WR Wahoo McDaniel: Like Treacy, McDaniel signed with the Florida Gators. At a 79 OV, McDaniel sits at 7th on the depth chart behind only one senior but several juniors. McDaniel will RS and may decide himself to transfer as he will be facing a lot of competition.

TE Jessie Huffman: Huffman .. is a stud. He's a 99 OV player and maybe the most talented guy in the entire Nation. He is starting for FSU and hopes to be a big focal point of their rebuilding.

CB Al Mighty: Like Huffman, Mighty signed with the mighty Seminoles. Mighty, an 84 overall, is a victim of two seniors and a junior who are excellent but he will more then likely see some time as he will come in his Sophmore year as a starter in the secondary.

QB Jace Hunter: Hunter decided to follow his heart to Michigan, where as an 80 OV he backs up Sophmore Ryan Mallet (89). Hunter will see time this year and hopefully will get two good years in assuming Mallet declares following next year.

Rivals Report

#1 prospect SS Doug Bailey out of NJ is already making waves for his vicious hits and great ability vs the run. Early on Virginia Tech is his favorite, followed by Ohio State, Florida State, LSU and Penn State. Expect a lot of offers to come his way.

#2 Prospect and fellow NJ-ite OLN Mike Ritschel is another highly coveted player. Ritschel likes FSU early, but is also interested in USC, Auburn, Florida and Virginia of all schools.

#4 Prospect, QB Colton Mayes, is a coaches dream, with a good head on his shoulders and a cannon of an arm. The Arizona product currently is looking at Cal, LSU, FSU, Oklahoma and Michigan.

#5 Prospect, RB Tim Mougney, a power back unlike any other in this class is showing an early lean to LSU but not far behind is Wisconsin, Michigan, Penn State and Oklahoma.

#16 Prospect ILB Deacon Palmer is the top ILB in the class. A lot of schools are showing extreme interest but right now Tennessee, Georgia, Penn State, South Carolina and VT lead the way.

#74 Prospect WR Dayne Ho is very under rnaked, but the big man can make plays anis expected to flourish in no time. Right now Wisconsin, Alabama, Texas, Tennessee and Notre Dame lead the fight for him.
