It's been probably talked about, but i have to say that this to me, is the "Best Football" game ever played.

I've been playing FOF since 2007. No, i'm not quite the vet. that has been playing this game since it first came out. I haven't found nor played a football game that can match up with the depth of this game. A game where players ratings are set right, and they can progress or degress. Salaries, injuries, penalties...etc. Why can't Madden, HC09, NCAA, 2K5 have this type of game play. Now 2k5 is my 2nd, but it still falls short compared to FOF.

It just blows my mind that a simple game can blow these games out of the water.

Best button-mashing experience was 2k5.

Best sim/league game, probably have to go with FPS 98. Might be sentimental, but it was pretty awesome despite its flaws.

Currently, it's definitely FOF. Haven't found a console one that I care for since 2k5.

Agree on all of the above :)

I loved FPS 97 - my favorite running back Barry Sanders on the cover of the CD. (still have it too)

If Tecmo had career mode, I would have never learned about FOF. I'm somewhat happy about this in a bittersweet sort of way.
