I have noticed that the overall interest and activity in the FOF community has taken quite a hit lately. I know that most of us are hardcore football fans and have enjoyed this great game for quite some time now, but it has gotten a little bland for most of us. I have been around since the beginning of FOF and have nothing but love for the game, but it seems that Jim has made no effort to progress with this game. I am finding more and more dedicated MP owners resign (UKPATFAN) because the game isn't as fun as it once was. I was a big fan of frogger when I was a kid, but when Zelda came around and I discovered what I could be playing I never looked back. What I am trying to say is that I hate to see the interest level in this game (which I think is great) die because we have seen the same game since the 90's. This is the best text based football game out but if you could somehow combine FOF with the 2d gameplay of a game such as front page football (early 90's) then I would walk away without a second thought. I just hate to see great leagues and owners walk away from this game because of being bored of th repition. I am really hoping Jim has thought about this and won't try to just sell more games with a simple roster update instead of actually listening to the outcry from the community for a new product. Sorry guys, I just had to vent.:banghead:

Hey there Freddy,
I agree the game could do with a spruce up in some aspects but I'm still playing and enjoying the game fella.

For me, I like immersion in a league: GM press releases, Emags, mock drafts and the like.
I guess it keeps me interested despite all my losing seasons!!!

With limited time for FOF, I've gotta see that in a league if I'm gonna dedicate a chunk of free time to it.
If there is a hard core of GM's contributing in that way then it keeps me encouraged to do the same...if no-one else is really interested then I look for somewhere that has the activity.

The RDFL is a friendly league that has the immersion side of things I'm looking for.
One or two guys are very prolific and that's where I'm getting my fix.
:)

One thing i have done lately is i have gotten a few of my fantasy football buddies into FOF. They had never played it before and are like we once were loving every minute of it.

I have been playing FOF since the 90s and i still love it. Yes it needs a little refreshing and a few touches on the gameplay here and there just to kind of keep the conversation up on it.
