Ok, time to move forward.

Aiming for a midweek start next week, probably roles going out Tuesday night with game starting Wednesday for a Wednesday night deadline.

Deadlines will be 10 PM EST for night deadline and 11:00 AM EST for AM deadline. Fairly basic game with some twists.

Werewolf The Prom


It's what you have been waiting all year for, the Prom is coming up. A festive night of dancing, after parties and who knows what else. The only problem is there are some uninvited guests in attendance at this prom andunfortunately for you and your classmates, some of you won't be going off to college next year...


This is an ordinary game of werewolf with a few twists thrown in. Deadlines will be 10 PM EST for night deadline and 11:00 AM EST for AM deadline. I will accept conditional orders if need be.


Werewolf is a game of lying, cheating and deceit.

Each day you will vote for one person to be lynched. The player who receives the most votes will be lynched. In the event of a tie there will be no lynch that day.

Each night the wolves will submit a player they want to kill.


Some rules.

There is no editing of posts for whatever reason.
There is no quoting of PM's received from the GM
There is no discussion of the game anywhere other then this thread

Votes for a player will be submitted in bold, for example

Day 1 will be a little different however. There will be no lynch vote on day 1, instead everyone will ask another person or people to be their date. You can ask them through a PM or in public. Just like in high school you can ask someone publicly or in private.

If you ask in a PM I must be copied on it and you may only ask them, no clues about roles, etc...

If you ask them in public, you must post the query in blue so the person can see it easily as well as I. The person you ask will then accept or not. You may unaccept if a better looking/ more popular person asks you, again, shit happens in highschool.

At 10:00 PM EST I will process the requests and that is your date for the Prom. If you have no date you will be going stag.

If you have a date for the duration of the game you can PM freely with that person, however you will not know their allegiance.

The prom starts day 2. There will be 2 votes that day. There will be a public vote for lynch candidate and a private vote for the prom King or Queen. It is a small school so there is only one. The results of that vote will be revealed after the night deadline D3.

The Prom King/ Queen is a powerful role. They will be able to duke one time. They also can't be night killed.

Roles- Good

Star Quarterback- Will be able to protect one player each night from attack. May not protect the same player on consecutive nights. May protect themselves.

Gossip Queen- You hear and see everything. Once per night you may eavesdrop on a player to discover their allegiance.

Prom Committee Head- This party has been your baby all year. Once during the game you can change the outcome of the lynch vote.

President of the Acting Club- Each night you submit a player you want to act like. If someone with a night action targets you they will actually think they are targeting the person you are acting like and their results will be adjusted accordingly.

Roles- Bad

Brutal Wolf- When lynched you take another player with you

All other wolves are ordinary

Outcast kid- You hang around alone alot and have seen strange stuff. You know who the wolves are but they don't know who you are. Wins when the wolves win. Counts as a student in win conditions.


Win Conditions- Wolves win with a 1/1 ratio. Students win when all the wolves are eliminated.

You all show up for school on the morning of the Prom very excited. The is an air of anticipation about the whole school. The usually smelly gym is decorated in bright streamers and glitter. Even coach bustanut seems to be in a good mood.

The mmod is smashed however when an ear piercing scream comes from hallway B. The scream is from Darth Vilus who has found hoopsguy stuffed in a locker. It seems hoops has been gnawed on. Seems Darth will be going stag after all.

Upon further investigation of hoops' body you see a planner spill from his jacket. Aparently Hoops' was caught out late making last minute preperations for a prom he will never attend. Pity, since he worked so hard on it.

Hoops was the prom comittee chairman.

D2 has begun. Remember I need 2 votes. 1 public for a lynch and one private for prom king.

one important amendment to the rules I forgot to mention.

If for some reason the seer is voted Prom King/Queen they will not receive that role and the next closest vote getter will win. This no night kill rule would make the role way to powerful IMO.

Well that sucks. I had a pretty good feeling about Hoops based on the way he approached the prom date thing.

We need to band behind a single candidate for Prom Queen/King so we are less able to be affected by wolf manipulation of the vote. I've been wrestling with whether or not it is worthwhile for one of the other two roles that could possibly take the position to reveal (BG / Actor):

Pro: Begins CoT, increases chances of catching a wolf with a scan by decreasing the pool of players, if there is a counter role reveal then gives us a wolf / cultist amongst the two players.

Con: Obviously wolves know which characters to target in this case, brutal wolf can still kill the Prom King/Queen, narrows down the list of characters who could be seer, revealing makes the Actor role useless.

Personally I think it's worth the gamble for one of those players to reveal, if there is a counter-reveal I think it's definitely worthwhile for the other to reveal as otherwise the wolves would have to give up two players to fake reveal in that case, because the Prom King/Queen role is strong and we really ought to try and get a trusted person in that position.

P.S. I was going to recommend the duke reveal to take the role of Prom King/Queen (in the case of a counter-reveal, he could've duked the lynch to the faker), but unfortunately that's out now thanks to the unlucky NK.

The wolves will, but there should be a lot more villagers than wolves. That's why we need to band behind a single candidate, so the villager vote for Prom King or Queen is not split in such a way that the wolves' candidate would otherwise be guaranteed to win, i.e. 9 villagers each vote for a different Prom King / Queen, wolves all vote for a wolf, wolf becomes Prom King/Queen.

I have to vote early because of work, normally I would wait to hear more about what the group is saying. For some reason I have a feeling that the wolves are people you wouldn't normally expect, and my feelings usually turn out to be right. So think about this first, think of 2 people you wouldn't vote for and vote for one of them. That's just my opinion.

And what the hell! Why does my date get knocked off! I swear revenge. Though i'm a free agent now :D

We need to band behind a single candidate for Prom Queen/King so we are less able to be affected by wolf manipulation of the vote. I've been wrestling with whether or not it is worthwhile for one of the other two roles that could possibly take the position to reveal (BG / Actor):

Pro: Begins CoT, increases chances of catching a wolf with a scan by decreasing the pool of players, if there is a counter role reveal then gives us a wolf / cultist amongst the two players.

Con: Obviously wolves know which characters to target in this case, brutal wolf can still kill the Prom King/Queen, narrows down the list of characters who could be seer, revealing makes the Actor role useless.

Personally I think it's worth the gamble for one of those players to reveal, if there is a counter-reveal I think it's definitely worthwhile for the other to reveal as otherwise the wolves would have to give up two players to fake reveal in that case, because the Prom King/Queen role is strong and we really ought to try and get a trusted person in that position.

P.S. I was going to recommend the duke reveal to take the role of Prom King/Queen (in the case of a counter-reveal, he could've duked the lynch to the faker), but unfortunately that's out now thanks to the unlucky NK.

I don't see any upside for a reveal right now. We have 13 players, so figuring 3 wolves, we are 9-3-1 (1 being the cultist). A reveal only nets us 1 or max 2(if seer reveals with a scan) trusted and with no voting record as of yet doesn't help us go anywhere really.

Would be a concern, but I'd like to see this in the hands of a villager as opposed to a wolf like that game Dubb was able to establish a CoT in that wasn't deserved. We need to ensure it stays out of a wolf's hands as that will be trouble.

I'm not saying the King/Queen shouldn't be scanned, just saying that if the person is found to be a wolf with an N2 scan that they shouldn't necessarily reveal that info D3...unless the King/Queen can't duke D3 which could be a possibility since they aren't revealed until N3.

I will go along with this. Whoever the seer is needs to scan him tonight though and let us know if he is a wolf before he is able to use his duke power... although if I am being honest I dont really know what the duke role really means, or what the importance of the outcast is.

All right, been a long day at work. Sucks to see hoops buy it so quick. I never seem to get into a lengthy play with him around anymore.

I can get behind the let's piggyback behind one player for king/queen. I see lerriuqs has stepped up. Is he the choice? If so, I will send my vote in there. Regardless, I completely agree that the seer needs to scan whoever ends up on top.

As for who to vote for, right now I am at a loss. Like with any Day One (for vote purposes that is what this is), we don't have much to go on.

If Darth weren't new, I would probably go with him, just slightly, on the reasoning that hoops may have hinted to Darth about his role. But he is new, and he also won't be around, and besides all of that, hoops isn't exactly the type to make a move like that to someone he isn't sure about.

The vote with no explanation by Pass on clap is suspicious in my mind, but considering it's on clap, it's not all that surprising. clap always draws suspicion (whether rightly or not), and I don't know that Pass should get an automatic vote because of a desire to vote for clap.

It feels too early to go with the UTR vote, plus, J23 is new, too, right? So not really looking in J23's direction just yet.

I will go back through the thread and see if I can get behind another candidate.

The votes ended up very spread out which is unfortunate. I am a little surprised Kwhit didn't get a little more vote support as he would have a solid second candidate against Jag. Telle's pretty much wasted vote for Pass late is probably the vote that stands out the most to me. Chief Rum's vote came early enough where it doesn't look great to me, but not too awful.

Danny, I would actually consider going second level on Telle's vote. Don't consider who she voted for so much as who she didn't vote for. Why didn't she vote for either clap or KWhit? You yourself note the oddity of not voting KWhit, I say it's just as odd not to vote clap, purely on vote count.

Pass had one vote (mine). If you were trying not to look bad voting for JAG, wouldn't you instead vote for one of the two two-vote guys to move them within one of JAG? Let's presume Telle is a wolf and wanting to avoid piling on JAG, who she knows is good. Why wouldn't she put one of those other two in danger? It would make her look better than a "throwaway" vote on Pass, once JAG comes up good.

The answer to that is, perhaps KWhit or clap are wolves themselves.

The lynchpin to all that is whether Telle is a wolf. IMO, we would have to determine that first before we took a good look at KWhit and clap (at least on this alone).

I don't know if Telle is the one to go for; it's very early just yet, and other candidates can come up, but I thought I would toss this out as food for thought.

As for the JAG voters, I would guess at least one is a wolf, so, yes, we have to consider you, too, Danny, although my gut says your okay.

JAG had three votes on him and everybody else just had 1 (I didn't see the votes in posts 202 and 203 until after I voted). I didn't want to pile on to JAG, and didn't have much reason for voting for any of the other vote getters so it was just slightly more than random as to who I chose.
