More important to a team: Cohesion or Affinities?

Lately I have been signing a ton of guys who match up affinity wise with my team leaders... but, by having done that... I'm also running into loss of cohesion.

So, my question is to you great FOF posters... what's more important to a team? Cohesion or affinities?

My feeling is cohesion does nothing, or next to nothing. I have email solecismic support, Ethan passed it on to Jim apparently.

I totally ignore cohesion. I am constantly signing guys with affinities for each other though.
