Does anyone have any experience or data on switching a FB to TE? I signed an extra FB in a league with the intent of switching him to TE He is 6'2" 259 and will make the switch keeping 97% of his ratings. But after doing a small amount of testing in SP, I notice that no matter how fast that FB is his Big Plan Receiving bar is pretty pedestrian and the new TE seems to have below average catch percentage and yards per target. Any thoughts from someone who has made this switch successfully?

I've seen TE to FB work, but never FB to TE. That's just my experience.

I had a major success in IHOF with a guy named Derrick McKnight (http://www.fof-ihof.com/players/player.php?player=15870).
You can see in the ratings movement section on his card where I made the switch.

Thanks for the responses. I know that I can make the switch without much of a ratings hit but I am more concerned with productivity issues. I am curious if there is an experience of FB-TE's that show a drop in efficiency. My main concern is maintaining a high completion percentage and average yards per target after the switch.

Archie Lake (http://www.younglifenorthdekalb.com/ifl/ben/playercard.php?playerid=13203) seems to be doing ok in the IFL

I switched a rookie FB to TE, ended up with a massive ratings boost (was a really awful runner), and has 64 big play. No idea how he'll do, although he's only 5'7 :(

from my experience, FB -> TE can work very well, but keep an eye on their receiving stats and endurance.
TE are expected to have better hands and receiving abilities than FBs, so expect those to possibly drop. They also would play more plays.
On the other hand, they aren't necessarily as good at blocking (particularly run blocking).
I also suggest looking at their size, and what role they would play. If they are a receiving FB, and 6'2", 230, you may want to switch. If they are a Blocking TE and are 6'0" 255, you may want to switch.
I've also had some success in simply leaving the player at FB/TE, and playing them in both as an H-back of sorts.
