We can see when the defense is playing run, pass, or aggr run and aggr pass.
But we can't see when the offense is in "slight passing" vs "passing" vs "extreme passing" situations, etc. How can we get a sense of how often we are in the respective situations, in game?
Even with the game plan and adjustments, we can see short pass vs long pass vs run, but it's hard to qualify what is an 'extreme passing' vs simply a 'passing' situation, other than the intuitive sense that the former is much more rare than the latter. I just want a more quantitative grasp on what to expect, in terms of how much more rare - so that when we are checking formation use for each situation, you have a way of qualifying all those %'s you are inputting: "all of this is for a situation we'll run probably 5-6 times a game, so it's okay if for 70% of those times to feature one formation", or "we'll be facing this type of situation for a heavy number of snaps, so we should be more multiple in the looks we show."
