Dumping ground for stuff that's pretty clearly new feature requests and not fixes/tweaks as I asked.

EDIT: To be clear, none of these are things I posted, just copy and pastes from others' posts.

GAMEPLANNING PAGES
On the Basic offense and defense gameplan screens, tabbing to the next field should highlight the entire current entry for editing to eliminate mouse over and/or 'delete' key intervention. (It works like this on the formation usage screens, btw, and saves me a lot of trouble on those screens)

Provide the 'Reset All' button functionality globally towards the entire gameplan to aid "from scratch" gameplanning.

Provide the option to disable "Rex" from SP/MP games.

DRAFT AIDS
Tweak Red, Blue, and Green highlights on draft page to reflect top 1% of range, top 10% of range, and bottom 10% of range for that position group vs whatever "great", "superior", and "poor" represent. Or at least...add the option to view it that way.

SOLEVISION
Add a link to Solevision on the top menu bar so I don't ever have to open the "Simulation Window" page and inadvertently see results (I would prefer this to "hide results" option).

ALMANAC
Okay, this is an idea/suggestion and doesn't belong here....disregard.

Eliminate Herb the Ref at the end of a season and add in his place a season summary page that congratulates the season champ, the score of the Solecismic Bowl, recognizes the Solecismic MVP, OPOY, DPOY, OROY, DROY, links to pro bowl teams, Hall of Fame candidates, traditional statistics leaderboard winners (Rushing, Passing, Receiving, TD's, etc.) notable retirements or those big names that are on retirement watch. Whatever, just something more interesting than Herb the Ref telling me I scored a 42.

Coaches Contracts

I believe there should be more control over coaching contracts - especially if you have an existing coach and wish to extend him, you should have that option to negotiate with him before he becomes a free agent.

the more I think about it what I would like to see most is an easy way to edit anything and everything - players, coaches, logos, etc - much in the same way you can with commissioner mode in OOTP.

Carryover the red, blue and green combine colorations to the player card. Also, maybe keep combines viewable on the player card through the entire rookie year.

The ability to "lock" a player in as a starter while letting the coaching staff handle the rest.
So you can develop players without mico-managing the roster while fast simming the season.

- see stats like "preferred formations", "run/pass ratio on Down x with y yards to go" for opponents based on earlier games in the season for my opponents. Data that's assembled for real teams at real games.. and then used to set up my game plan accordingly.

- redo the defensive gameplanning away from down/yardage to include opponents formation. Right now the situations that come up are sometimes plain stupid like a goal line def vs. 3 WR passing formation.

Some things that I would like to finally see improved:
When enabling "Coach resets depth charts prior to each game" before/during training camp players sometimes switch positions. That's greatly annoying when you want to play a 3-4 but your Coach thinks your team need 4 MLBs. Even worse when it switches a LT to RT.
IMHO this position switching should be part of the "allow scouts to sign player option".

Which brings me just to that option: I hate it when the scout decides to cut my creeping project players after preseason is over. Right, why keep that creeping 24/40 QB when you can have a no future 33/33 QB? *sigh*
Possible tweak could be to flag certain players as unmovable by the AI. Also the AI should look to resign and not cut players that give positive cohesion.

On that note: You can lock players on the depth chart. That’s beautiful. What however still kind of stunts this for me is: It does not work, when you have your coach set your depth chart for you. So basically locking players to certain positions on the depth chart is only for when you set your charts manually anyway. This kind of seems backwards to me. But be it as it may, I'd like to be able to lock some players in and have the coaches set the other players along the way without having to look at the depth charts anymore except in case of injury (being "out") to one of my locked in players.

And finally I'd like to be able not to have to worry about resigning players to one year deals. I'd like to just check a box to have that happen automatically. It just seems tedious and time consuming.

I just would like the whole experience to be streamlined without surrendering control so I can get through a complete FOF-year in less than one hour.

I'd like to see more play by play lines in Solevision when a kick, punt or interception is returned for a TD (or even when the return is a substantial one).

Something along the lines of:
He makes the first defender miss
He steps into a seam and picks up a block on the sidelines
Only the kicker to beat
Touchdown!

Gridiron Greta ranks the top QBs in various weeks, but in would be good to have a more complete ranking based on their statistics...I guess you could just by looking at statistics, but it's not quite as immersive.

I would like to see something done about RFA. I haven played sp in awhile but I hate how a guy can refuse to sign then become an UFA post draft. The computer also will draft guys high and not play them. When NRL started there were tons of teams that had done that while on computer control.

Expand the scope of the in game depth chart to include all offensive and defensive positions, not just QB,RB,TE,FL,SE.

It's frustrating to call a certain running play over your stud LT and not know that he is on the field or not.

Defensively, it's sometimes a total crap should on what coverage/blitzes to call not knowing if a starter or back up is on the field., ie, I think my stud LCB is on the field and maybe its a 25/35 backup playing at the time.

If not be able to manage the depth chart, at least have visability as to who IS on the field before a play is to be called, espicially on defense.

* I'd like to know which player got flagged on a play.
* I'd like the control of substitutions for all players.
* I'd like to be able to control which players blitz on a given play (if that's realistic).
* Inexperienced QBs should burn a timeout from time to time.
* For those of us who call plays, a half time stats summary screen would be nice.
* Open source the game play-by-play (the existing commentary isn't bad, but after a few seasons it gets old).

Three other things:

* Make the game play dialog non-modal (so you can at least look at the roster attributes and scouting dialog during a game).
* Allow games to be saved in progress.
* Make the scout's opinion of a player's progress over time available as part of the FOF software package.

Exporting from 2 different computers should not affect game plan.
My team export should include all gameplan activities. The commish export of said game plan should include all pertinent team variables no matter what system you are exporting from.

I think anyone who is like me and runs FOF from 2 systems would be in great appreciation.

1. The ability to save the game while working on a stage.
2. Be able to edit contract offers.

Not really important, but would be nice.

Able to edit the in game email as commish. You could post trade info, rules or other things.

I suggest that gameplans can be saved individually according to categories. right now an offensive gameplan collectively contains personnel, basic offensive game plan, adjustments, misc settings and formations. I would like to see each of these category be independent.

One use of this is when the starting QB goes down, and I could bring up a whole different set of formation use for the 2nd QB while keeping everything else intact.

Gameplanning screens need to be optimized. I think we are being tasked with too many variables when the variables are all interlinked. This brings about too much "chutes and ladders" concern which results in people using static gameplans throughout an entire season (or multiple seasons).

For example...I wanted to see if I could make the WR reverse contribute to my offense.

In order to use the reverse, you must first be willing to hand the ball off to your WRs. So you can bump that # up to 6%. Second, reverses are part of the Finesse Running set.

So if I set WR carries to 6% and Finesse Running to 100% across the board...during a 500 carry sesason, I should see 30 reverses per season, max. But doing so generally results in 8-12 reverses. But the true effect seems to be that bumping up my finesse running to 100% absolutely kills my running game...my RB's can't get a 3.0 YPC average with this set!

So, I figured I'll optimize it to make sense. 2TE's or more on the field and I won't run the finesse plays...standard sets, I'll drop it to 25%....3 WR's or more, I'll go with 50%. I should still see a decent ammount of reverses but my running game is better off, right? Well, yes, the RB is above 3.0 YPC...(I still feel like I'm well above the Finesse Running threshold "chutes and ladders" failure point though...and I'm down to 4-7 reverses per season.

But the true learn here is that I should probably just forget about trying to do the reverse. I checked other teams and all the AI teams had limited reverses....with most being ineffective. The longest reverse in a particular season was 16 yards. The 2nd longest was 10 yards. The average was about 2.5 yards per reverse!

What? There are settings that are designed just to destroy my offense with no benefit? Without documentation, we are asked to rely on our football sense. This is a no-win situation and needs some serious review. It's just seems too complicated for complexity's sake.

So, I hate to complain without offering suggestions, so back to original point, I'd like to see gameplanning optimized.

Week to week gameplanning is the essense of FOF MP. I think the best way to capture this is to move the core of our gameplan into a new bucket that really just becomes our offensive and defensive philosophy...something that perhaps is moved to spring training. Then, optimize the week to week adjustment down to the "Offensive Gameplans Adjustments" page and (the Defensive counterpart) and just leave it at that. (Okay, maybe not those particular screens, but one or two pages...tops).

Anyway, same old story. The game was always designed to sim seasons, not games...but this seems like a decent step to evolutionize this game for the future.
