Well I tried to go the "underdog" route with my first two dynasties, but neither of them really worked out. The first time my player just wasn't good enough, and my second time I had a real good kicker, but he didn't really pan out and also went undrafted.
So this time I started with the NFL draft, instead of college recruitment, just to make sure my player actually had a future in the NFL. I simmed 4 quick years in TCY (starting in 2004), then started FOF in 2007. I simmed through the 2007 season and imported the draft class from TCY.
While browsing through the draft pool, I noticed that there were two players with the same last name that were incredibly similar and went to the same school. According to TCY, they didn't go to the same high school, but I'll just ignore that. (Their birthdates are are 6/2/86 and 6/22/86, so I'll just split the difference and say they were born on 6/12/86). Eugene Bradford is a wide receiver and Neil Bradford is a safety. I thought that was pretty cool...one brother making sure passes are caught and one brother making sure passes aren't caught.
Now this is where it gets weird (and I swear I didn't plan this). Neil was drafted in the 2nd round by the Washington Redskins, and Eugene was drafted in the 7th round by the...Washington Redskins. That means they're the first set of twins to ever play for the same NFL team since Gene and Tom Golsen in 1926. So already we've got some NFL history.

Eugene is the lower-rated, and less-paid of the two, but is a lot smarter, has a better personality, and is more popular with the fans (maybe he gives entertaining interviews?). He's more of a "people" person, and is much more loyal.

Neil is more athletic, was drafted higher, and seems to be a better player overall. But he's not as smart, less of a leader, WAY less loyal, and doesn't care about winning quite as much. He seems to be more introverted, and his incredibly low fan popularity shows that he doesn't really ever draw much attention to himself. He's the yin to Eugene's yang.
Notes about ratings:
-For each category, the number on the left is their rating at the beginning of training camp, and the one on the right is their potential.
-At the end of every season, I'll update the ratings and there'll be a big bold number in the middle. That number will be what their rating is at the end of the season. That way you can see how they improved over the course of a season.
-I tried to get the positional experience colors as close as possible. Here's what they'll look like (worst to best)
