Anyone know if there are 2009, 2010 and 2011 files lurking somewhere?

I don't think anyone put out a 2011 roster, or if they did I missed it.

I was wrong, Racer created a 2011 roster file:

I'm in the process of creating a 2012 roster file. Hoping to have it done by the end of week 4 of the NFL season.

I have all rostered players on an excel sheet. It's now a matter of entering/updating contracts, modifying ratings, and updating positions.

I also have about 350 free agents on a separate excel tab/sheet. I've done vlookups to test their names and draft information (if applicable) against the main tab/sheet (all rostered players and practice squad players) but I may decide to do more duplication tests. I have practice squad players entered in as free agents to avoid any potential cap issues. The roster will be up to date as of 9/7/2012.

One issue with creating any roster is that computer teams are locked to 3-4 DEF or 4-3 DEF when you start a career. You have to alter positions for these teams and it's not as simple as making every 4-3 DE a 3-4 OLB or every 3-4 OLB a 4-3 DE.

3-4 teams FOF teams that lean/play 4-3: Buffalo, Cleveland, Denver, Miami, and New England

4-3 FOF teams that lean/play 3-4: Baltimore, Houston, Indianapolis

That's a 1/4th of the league.

You're the man, Racer. I play a lot of single player and really enjoy having current rosters.

Thanks. I'm decently far on making the roster. I have all the contracts entered.

Now I have update ratings and things to cleanup and try to find any potential errors. I probably have 5 to 10 hours left of work on this but I have a very busy week ahead so I'm not sure how much time I'll have to work on it.

Make sure Chris Johnson and Michael Griffin have 375's across the board.

Just to update:

I'm pretty far along on this now. Mainly minor tinkering here and there. It's far from perfect but I think it's a decent roster and a probably a bit better then the one I created last year. Also, since the roster is a bi-product of Jim's roster from 2 years ago, defensive players' pass technique needs to be updated.

Still deciding whether to release it sometime in the next few days or waiting another week or so to get a better sense of how good teams are. At this point, I'm pretty sure the roster is fairly playable at least.

LOL. Luckily, when creating a regular roster, you only really have to set one rating for each player (though most RBs have breakaway speed).

9 - Rare Superstar - 0.3%
8 - Superstar - 0.4%
7 - Near Superstar - 0.6%
6 - Elite Starter - 1.1%
5 - Excellent Starter - 1.5%
4 - Very Good-Plus Starter - 2.6%
3 - Very Good Starter - 3.9%
2 - Good Starter - 12.2%
1 - Replacement-Level Starter (decent backup) - 23.9%
0 - Roster Filler - 53.4%

Those percentages are off though. In Jim's startup roster, everyone is significantly higher. Also some positions such as QB need to be more top heavy to work right.

Chris Johnson has a rating of "3" at the moment though I may lower that to a "2". He probably deserves a rating in the 50s in my opinion the overall rating can still vary quite a bit each time you begin a new game even if you have the xfactor off.
