Why is it that some player get past injustices when you release them, and some don't?
Does it depend on how good they are? Their contract? How or when you got them? Their age? Traits like loyalty, wants winner, personality, etc?
If it's not known or knowable that's fine but I wanted to speculate. My current thinking is that it depends mainly on the player's overall (unmasked) quality. Got a UDFA chump rookie who hates you when you cut him? Maybe don't cut him then, because maybe he's not actually 15/30.
I don't think this mechanism is random. You can tell if a player is going to get past injustices when you cut them, and this doesn't change because you reload the game and try it again.
Am I off base here? Or is this a potential teaser as to player quality?

Have you considered loyalty as a factor? Never gave it much found for thought, but figured it could make a difference.

yeah, I thought maybe more loyal players were OK with being released. Maybe that's the main factor. Although it probably isn't the only one.

i think ratings and/or contract have a good amount to do with it

I think the guys who forgive being cut are all guys whose skills merit only a demand of minsal. If he's good enough to ask for a real contract, he won't re-up with you.

When you have a rookie with 30 potential get past injustices, does that make you perk up and go, "Maybe I shouldn't cut this guy?"

I like QuikSand's theory. Underrated players anecdotally seem to have a bad temper regardng playing time, it could be similar with the past injustices.

Wow, here's something you guys may want to be careful of.
This guy I had cut previously wasn't mad at me anymore and in FA1-2, I offered him something. Then I looked at all the offers I had and thought, "Wait, no, I'll withdraw that one."
Next sim, I go to offer him again and now he has past injustices.
I feel this shouldn't happen. I would've redone the export but I didn't feel like making all the offers again. Withdrawing an offer made in the same stage before the export should be equivalent to just not offering in the first place.
If this means what I think it does, then a) be careful about withdrawing, and b) it's better to keep your offer in and lose to a higher offer than it is to withdraw.

The same applies if you withdraw in a later stage. Players won't be happy about that.
