Can't install License

I try to install a license and it goes through an Internet check and says I might not be connected. I check and am connected and click OK to continue and I get a message that says

Unable to get or install a license
Retrieval of License failed with error code=-12.

I bought two games with CDs. One for me and one for a Christmas present for my nephew. Is there a problem with buying two games at once? Or is it nobody works after midnight? Or is it some form a plot by Santa Claus to ruin Christmas for some social indiscretion I may have unknowingly committed this year.....

I had this exact same issue and was connected to the internet. I did the "install offline license" process and it worked like a charm. I'd just try that.

Just purchased the game after my demo ran out, i've run into this exact problem now that I am attempting to license my game.

I tried to run the offline license and followed the instructions, however when i post license request onto the website, i get the error message of:
"http://www.license.net/images/pixel.gifError Occured:
Order ID or License Number was not found.
Please check the Order ID or License Number and re-create the request."

Any advice or help with this would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: nevermind, deleted and regenerated my license request and it worked perfectly. Time to play!
