2014 Draft in my first dynasty. Salary cap = 125.8K. Rookie minsal = 410K

The first 40 picks get solid bonuses ranging from 4.49M per year for the 1(1) to 530K per year for the 2(28). It appears that all rookies have a minimum salary the first year and that bonus is the only difference. Even the 1(1) pick only escalates his salary over the four-year deal as follows:

1: 410K
2: 650K
3: 1.14M
4: 1.18M

The last 24 picks of round two range from 490K bonus per year at 2(9) down to 190k bonus per year at 2(32).

After that...

1st fourth of 3rd round: 170K bonus per year, minsal 4 years
2nd fourth of 3rd round: 150K bonus per year, minsal 4 years
3rd fourth of 3rd round: 140K bonus per year, minsal 4 years
4th fourth of 3rd round: 130K bonus per year, minsal 4 years
1st third of 4th round: 120K bonus per year, minsal 4 years
2nd third of 4th round: 110K bonus per year, minsal 4 years
3rd third of 4th round: 100K bonus per year, minsal 4 years
1st half of 5th round: 50K bonus per year, minsal 4 years
2nd half of 5th round: 40K bonus per year, minsal 4 years
1st half of 6th round: 30K bonus per year, minsal 4 years
2nd half of 6th round: 20K bonus per year, minsal 4 years
All of 7th round: 10K bonus per year, minsal 4 years

So basically, it appears that we now have a salary structure where late-round draftees are "worth" significantly more than undrafted guys because of the four-year deal that is essentially minsal. Me likey.

Too soon to say with clarity - but it looks like some serious thought went into this, and I'm glad about that. I feel in the last few years playing MP FOF 2007 that I gained a pretty significant advantage by concluding that late round draft picks were a net negative in a tight cap environment... I think I was ahead of the curve there, but over time many savvy owners had started to join me in that view. If this (maybe coupled with the heightened salary demands of decent undrafted rookies who are seeking a second contract) ends up reversing that weird incentive, I think that would be for the better.

I've tried several ways, and it appears that the "always accept cap out style offer" Holdout Insurance has been removed. For example, I have a CB in the final year of his deal, set to make $1.6M. In the past, I could have just given him a 600K bonus and 1M salary this year, then franchised him next year. He won't accept that cap out deal in this version, and he wants a BIG contract ($10M in cap cost this year). And holdouts are more frequent, too. I'm guessing he's going to end up holding out on me. Nice!
