How to "quick sim"

I see a reference in one of the threads to quick simming a large number of seasons (in order to see how often low draft picks work out, at a given setting for scouting accuracy).

As a newcomer, I see no efficient way to quick sim. As GM of a team, I have to react to injuries each week, and I have to re-sign players, draft, etc, even if I don't really care about running a competitive team.

Is there a way to automate all that? Or is there a way to turn all teams over to the AI? I see nothing in the options that would lead to that level automation.

In the Game Options window you can set your staff to control a number of things by clicking Edit Single-Player Options and setting everything to Yes. Your team will quickly suck over multiple seasons and you will still have to click through many of the game's offseason stages to advance things, but you'll at least be able to sim a season of games pretty quickly.
