So… I’m trying to move Solecismic PR into the Twenty-First Century… There’s now a facebook page to like (Front Office Games) and a Twitter account (@Solecismic). These are tied together and I’ll be using them for announcements and news (hint: something’s coming soon).

More... (http://www.solecismic.com/frontierblog/?p=666)

LOL....yeah at first I thought Ben said he was doing this. What Ben posted was text from Jim's blog. Ben just didn't quote his text.

Okay - phew. I was worried Jim was turning in to my FIL - can program the shit out of something, but calls us when he needs help getting music on his iPod. :D

I'm not sure what it will be, but it sounds pretty exciting.

A move onto Steam could make the game explode! Is the community ready to handle the potential growth?

Steam? Who cares, we already have the game...great for Jim of course.
TCY 2 - homerun but not really a possibility to be announced now
Join forces with SI or somebody similar - great news for future releases

I don't think it could actually be steam though.. It would probably take better visuals to get on there. Also don't think it's TCY 2 - although it would be awesome if there is a FOF 8 at some point and it just combined TCY 2 within the same game with the ability to play either one exclusively or both at the same time...

Rooting for TCY2 (as in a "I re-wrote this code so well, it's easily portable to the college game!"), thinking it will be a Steam announcement.

Maybe he reached out to someone to spice up the UI and graphical stuff?

This is my guess - Icy has been quiet in the Mods thread for a few days now.

But then again, while the speculation is fun, the final announcement, even if really cool, if it's not one of these things, just leads to disappointment that we shouldn't necessarily feel.

Yeah, I think this is likely to be an announcement that has to do with the graphics/visuals of the game.

If it's a Steam announcement, it would be getting on Greenlight, not actually on Steam yet.

Yep.. and it makes sense if he's going to put it on Steam Greenlight that the game needs to be "pretty"... NOT THAT I CARE, but to reach a bigger audience, I don't think it would hurt. We know the engine is the star of this game, but I fully believe a next gen skin would really help in the sales department.

I'm thinking he will let the world know he has his MP league conversion utility ready and will be taking league files shortly.

Which would be great and help ensure this game/franchise/whatever still has a future beyond FOF7.

I would guess (and hope) its TCY2 related. He said on his website that his "long-term goal is to maintain the two football games, keeping them on the cutting edge for this type of career simulation." Given that TCY is in his words "a very dated game," one would think a new version of TCY2 has to be on its way.

What would even be better is if he said it was also ready for purchase and download tonight:)
