I've searched the forum and cannot find anything. My friend and I have setup a test league for multiplayer and he is setup as the commish.
We are testing things out right now and realize that for trades between us he has to manually go in and do this as the commish (no problem) however, when we are controlling our own team and click on 'trade information' to get to our controlled team for each of us, we cannot complete a trade. When selecting a player, we cannot shop them, nor complete the trade.
Is there an option we are missing? We have simulated through the exhibition weeks and the issue is still going on.
Thanks.
Only the commish can complete trades. It is working as intended.

I understand that only the commish can complete trades between the 2 of our teams if we trade amongst each other. we were under the impression that we could still work with the A.I. controlled teams on trades and they would use their logic as they would in a single player game.
what good is having the commish just approve all trades amongst my team and an A.I. team? that seems unfair as we would/could just approve any and all trades we wanted.

Imagine a league mostly full of real players and some guy kept cheesing the AI with a loop hole he found to stash draft picks from the AI. Really, MP is meant to be played with 32 other players. It doesn't work really well with much less than that.

I know this is an old post, but can someone clarify if this means there is no AI trading in Multiplayer at all? I have only done SP up to now, a few friends of mine are looking at the game(waiting on Steam release mainly), but a 4-6 person league with other teams as AI is what we would target.
Will this function, or would it be impossible to trade with AI? In season trades are rare enough to be little concern, but no movement on draft day would be a big con...

Or you and your six friends could join an existing MP league, and avoid the AI altogether... I could recommend several leagues that would love to have six new members...

In case other responses haven't been completely clear:
WHAT YOU CAN DO
-trade with other human run teams (input by the commissioner)
-trade with AI teams by some rules your league agrees to (input by the commissioner)
WHAT YOU CANNOT DO
-get the AI run teams to evaluate and accept/decline trades the way you can playing single player
Hope this helps.

Thank you everyone for the quick and helpful replies. That cleared up what I needed to know. I would love to get everyone in an MP league, but with highly varied work schedules, its not likely. Typically our group gaming habits are blowing through several seasons in a weekend in real-time, then not able to go again for a month or two.
Everyone is pretty committed to maintaining a realistic sim, so I think a quick consensus vote on trades is probably how we'll work it. Depending on my upcoming workload I may try to get into some of the new leagues will FoF7 is still(comparatively) fresh.
