View Full Version : Werewolf CLXIII-Return of the Werewolf-Day Four Ends Friday 10 PM EST

After years of hunting down and exterminating werewolves, a village of werewolf hunters returned home. Happy to see their families again and spend their free time doing stuff they loved. Unfortunately there have been a string of suspicious murders that look all too familiar to the trained eye. You thought you had got rid of all the werewolves you were wrong.....

After years of fighting werewolves our band of heroes returned to their village. They had vanquished the werewolf who had the last case of Sanies Lupinus and finally got to rest. Unfortunately, after the first full moon a farmer and his live stock were slaughtered by what looked to be a very large wolf. It became apparent that you had in fact, not defeated the last werewolf but instead brought it to your home. With your family at risk will you be able to find the last werewolf before it is too late?

All right, only ten players. These kind of games are tough, especially with a Sorceror. We have to get it right in one of the first two lynches or else we're really backed against a wall, particularly with no bodyguard.

Well, I won't either, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't target me. Same with clap, IMO.
That said, it does seem like not such a good idea to target someone who might end up being the seer and who is not around to reveal themselves at or near the deadline.

DT, I'm inclined to keep you alive because you showed up... have any inklings on Jackal/Julio?
DaddyTorgo
02-11-2014, 08:50 PM
I just got home - I note that Julio's vote had nothing behind it, kind of just a hit-and-run from what I can see.
That's fishy to me. I think Jackel's vote for me was more understandable as a D1 type of vote, but I figured the 2nd or 3rd on me could be a wolf trying to get a bandwagon going. I'm fine with a move to Julio in that regard - if we do it QUICK.

The day after you found the farmer it is decided after examining the remains that there must be a werewolf that has snuck itself inside the group of heroes. After a little debate arguing, it became clear that DaddyTorgo or Julio must be the culprit. In fact some even claim they saw a tuft of hair suspiciously growing out of Julio's ears. With that nugget of information reaching Britrock's ears he removes his axe and plunges it into Julio's chest.
Unfortunately, one month later on the full moon another person was torn apart by what looked to be a giant wolf. This time it was one of the members of the group Suicane. It seems the werewolf is trying to send you a message.
Lynch: Julio was a vanilla villager

All right, I am awake again. Let's try this. It would be natural to look at Font, for me, given that she was looking suspiciously at me. But I'm not surprised someone found my vote suspicious, so that doesn't sway me one way or the other there. The kill on Suicane is interesting, I'll look and see if there were any posts that might have brought it about, but I'm guessing it's one of those kills meant to make us confused.
Autumn

Not going to be able to contribute as much as I'd like over the next day or two - travel industry + big storms = busy busy.
But I really don't have much to add at the moment anyways -we're definitely going to need some luck. I don't see a compelling reason to move off DT - he's not exactly pinging me one way or the other, but it would lend clarity to D1 at the very least.
My theory that one of the three of you on me is a wolf was a wolf is IMO more solid. Hell - I'm even thinking it's probably not you since your D1 vote was random, but was more likely to be the #2 or #3 guy to try to get momentum going towards me.

I am a little uncomfortably because DT has now voted for britrock (his supposed conspirator in the vote switch), but then for DT, the Julio vote is self-defense vote as well. While DT is not a comfortable villager in my mind, he is on slightly more solid ground than britrock.
So I will return to my britrock pick from yesterday.

In essence it was a move away from DT, so the question begs - do we think it was wolf desperation? Not unheard of in a small game for one wolf to help the other on D1.
I don't feel like the voting smacked of desperation - there was so little going on near deadline that it makes it kind of hard to analyze.

After some mild debate and some of the members of the werewolves slayers voting it is decided that Britrock is behind Suicane's death. In fact DaddyTorgo reminds everyone of how Britrock and Suicane often bickered back and forth during your travels. "Who else would target Suicane first?" he asked everyone. And with that the consensus is made and this time it is Fontisian who is tasked with the execution of the accused. Everyone is shocked as Britrock's lifeless body transforms into someone elses before each of your eyes. It seems that some sort of dark magic had tricked you into thinking that your friend Britrock was still alive. Instead some kind of magician or sorcerer laid at your feet now.
Britrock was the sorcerer.

Switching the kill to a replacement is silly. It always takes replacements longer to catch up to what's going on and it's real tough to get a good read on the game as a replacement. Also, if they were seer-hunting a KWhit seer would be a non-worry as he wouldn't have made any of his scans so they'd be better off going after somebody who'd been active.

The fontisian-DT-britrock voting from Day One (the late switch) still seems suspicious to me, and it turns out brit was the sorcerer. But per the rules, the sorcerer does not know the identities of the wolves. And clearly from their nightkill choice, the wolves did not know britrock was the sorcerer.
So I am moving away from that direction of thinking. But that led me to consider the one person getting very little talk here: claphamsa. He feels a little under the radar for me, which is unusual, IMO.

Thoughts: 1.The JAG kill doesn't make sense, but considering the similarity to the Suicane kill, it doesn't mean that there has to be scum among DT and Jackal.

Yes. Hence why Autumn and I pointed out that it probably makes sense for the seer to come forward.
IMO - worst case scenario, even if they've only scanned dead people they'll either put themselves on a "safe" list or force a counter-reveal by a wolf in which case we'll have a 50/50 shot instead of the 33% shot we have right now.
