View Full Version : Unlicense fof7 with no internet connection
Apparently, the unlicense stuff requires a network connection. My laptop running fof has a broken network card and won't have any network connection. I have managed to make fof7 run under virtualbox on my Linux computer but I still would like to unlicense the non-working PC instance.
Anyone has a clue how to do that ?
Looks like no one has ever had that issue. I'll try to seek help at Solecismic.

I'd explain your situation to elicense and ask for another license, or if there's an offline deauthentication method.

If all else fails, you can pickup a usb wireless network adapter for under 15$.

I might even have a very old one somewhere in the cables box.
bumping this issue now with an additional question as I was able to install the game on a Virtual machine but have probably the old license used too.
Can Viatech "unlicense" them all so I can get the steam version ?

I suppose they "can" give you all your licenses back off-line, but typically they are only freeing up a license when you can't unlicensed on-line. I'd be surprised if they gave you back both licenses, but you can ask!

I'll ask via email. We never know.
Worst case is I need (yep, that's a need) to re-purchase fof7 which would cost me €22.99. Giving the gaming hours that the fof series provided me, that's probably still cheap.
FWIW, I have yet to hear from viatech... They really are bad.
