I hope I can ask this question is such a way that it makes sense...

Does the coaching staff you hire influence the way the game plan is set up when you click on the button to let the computer set up the game plan for you automatically? In other words, will one individual offensive coordinator set up a different offensive game plan than another offensive coordinator (for example)? I'd like to think that I could fire one defensive coordinator and the new one I hire will set up things a little differently.

Thanks!
Mark

No, the gameplanning skills of the coaches affect the outcome of the play, not what plays are called. The best way to think of it is the coaches influence the timing, motion, and specific routes to get more out of the same play than another coach might.

Thanks for the reply. But it's kind of disappointing. I would think that a very good coach would set up a more effective game plan than an average coach. It would certainly make the hiring and firing of coaches more crucial to a team's success.

But a human GM can set whatever gameplan they wanted, which would mean that skill is useless. So that attribute means whatever gameplan they run is more effective, rather than impacting the gameplan itself.
