Specifically,. when trading players for picks with the AI, what kind of deals should you expect to go through. If anyone can share an examples or maybe charts etc, whatever you got really haha.

thanks in advance

Overall, don't expect your players - even really good ones - to be worth very much on the trade market. By and large, a player only has value if his base salary is well below what he would fetch on the open market.

So, when people complain that they can't trade their 67/67 RT to get a first round pick... the story is usually that the tackle is getting paid $11m in base salary, and that's about the going rate for a guy of that caliber, so there's no real market to acquire that player. And even if he's only earning $7m (in that example) he's maybe worth a 4th round pick or something along those lines.

In short, much like in the real NFL, trading picks for players really doesn't happen all that often. Non-guaranteed contracts and other factors just make it a relative rarity.

And most veteran FOFers would probably agree that the deck is stacked against the single-player owner when trying to trade with the AI teams. Rather than make the game way way too easy to exploit, it has been tied up to where it's sometimes embarrassing how much you have to give (or how little you get) when making what seem like medium sized trades.

It's probably for the best overall, but it can be frustrating for new players who really want to wheel-and-deal. If that's your cup of tea, check in to start playing multi-player, as that's your best bet by far.

Excellent comments by Quik. The only thing I'd add would be this: trading of draft picks for draft picks is usually fair. (I say "usually" because the AI will overestimate the value of your future picks once you're a sure-thing winner.) Basically, it's not worth the time to try to trade players to the AI.

Great advice guys,.. I'm still pretty new but loving it. I was having a lot of difficulty finding even "good" players in the draft after the first round until someone pointed me to the draft analyzer. Once I was able to use the draft analyzer the next problem was ending up with to much talent and to many big contracts.. i couldn't figure out how to trade away for anything so i ended up just cutting players at like 4 years 65/65 cause i couldn't find any value for them. These are all sims just for the game experience not my actual strategy.

I saw a video on youtube that showed the menus for seeing what teams are interested in your players and that was a huge help.. In situations where you end up with so much talent and have to get back under the cap its beneficial even to trade away the value for more picks, hopefully to find more talent and keep the team as young as possible

And i really appreciate the inability to exploit the AI, no better way to ruin a game

Just to see i was able to start with jacksonville and trade away luke joeckel at 2y exp, like 50/80ish for the first round pick of the team that had the most interest. Granted this was the first season before the first preseason game but it was a straight up trade which i was shocked it went through.
