How do I correctly import a season to play.

Hello,

I have recently just bought FOF7 and with me just getting done finished my collegiate football career I need something to pass the time. I would like to start in 1960 and go all the way too 2015 but I have not figured out how to correctly import the 1960 season. It always says "The file is incorrect or corrupt" any help? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the game.

First, there aren't true season files like other replay sims. FOF is a forward looking GM sim. I think the files you're looking at are simply player files, so it would have players drafted in 1960. Each year then you would import the new file for that year's draft class. You end up drafting teams based on today's 32 team league with the player files from that year.

Having said all of that, I don't know the status of the historical draft files. They are put together by other users and my guess is they may not have been updated in some time. Others may have better knowledge of the files themselves. I just wanted to make sure you were on the same page in terms of what you were expecting and would be getting.

Dola: Guesses are you may have the ones for the previous version of FOF (like FOF 2004 or 2K7 or whatever the thing was). Were the files unzipped? May also be pointing to the draft file instead of the roster file?

You're looking for draftfilesupdated and rosterfilesupdated. You should then be able to follow the instructions from the other thread I linked.

Good luck! I hope you have fun. It can be a bit talent bare in the first few seasons but I've had a lot of fun with it.

I just got to the 2014 season draft and I'm almost done.
