Several people have mentioned that the extra click/hover for Personality is annoying, and that the box below it (Player Health) could be compressed downward to allow more of the Personality info to be displayed on the main card. However, by my count of the lines, all of it won't fit, so I'd like to put together a suggestion for Customer Support that best reflects what people feel are the most important information bit, if it ends up being a case where some of them are displayed on the main card and there's a "View More Personality" screen.

To help with this recommendation, please rank these in order. Here's my ranking.

1. Mentor
T2. Personality/Leadership
4. Red Flag
5. Popularity
6. Loyalty
7. Wants Winner
8. Intelligence

My list would be:

1. Personality/Leadership

***

Everything else.

Mentor and Red Flag is a yes/no proposition, so it is pretty easy to remember whether a player fits into those categories. Based on FOF7 reasoning, and unsure if any changes would be necessary in FOF8, other categories are just not that important on a micro level.

Leadership/personality is so varied from player to player that it would help to have that easily accessible. In fact, I wish there was an in-game search akin to what FOFL has out of game.

I know this would be a stretch, but if they really wanted to maximize space they could do the following.

- 1st, have all the buttons at the bottom of the screen put into two rows, not stretching past the player fingerprint area. Next/previous could be moved to top of screen or reduce its footprint.

- 2nd, move the player health section to below the scouting area since no buttons there anymore.

- 3rd, now you have space to have a personality box, where the player health used to be. Would have space to display all attributes.

Mentor and Red Flag is a yes/no proposition, so it is pretty easy to remember whether a player fits into those categories. Not when it's time to sign a Free Agent and you're looking for a mentor at a specific position. Reconsider order pls k thx.

3 Popularity

I turn that chemistry crap off. It doesn't really exist in sports IMO.

Couldn't you just sort on the "Personality View" setting in the roster window?

Couldn't you just sort on the "Personality View" setting in the roster window? If I were willing to give a roster spot to a crap player, sure. But most of the time it's "I need a CB mentor. Search on CurOvl or SpecTm or PR/KR, over 5 years, and grab first one who is a mentor." Or as just happened, I need a backup QB who is also a mentor. I'm used to being able to search for a decent player, then just Next-Next-Next until I get to one who is a mentor.

In FOF7, the red flag/mentor players were easily identified by a sort in the Roster Overview of free agents. They had a M or red flag icon and could be easily sorted. Has that been removed? I just looked in FOF8, and it looks like it has been replaced by Captain/Starter. If so, then I would revise my list to be (1) Personality/Leader and (2) Red Flag/Mentor. All of the other traits could be hidden in the player card as they are now.

I'm with Quik for now on this. But once we've all figured out how chemistry works now (I haven't yet) we may all change our minds

Fair observation. Currently, I think you have to invert your search... sort on the personality screens to see all the mentors, and then next-next-next to leaf through them all, and view their non-crap skills. It's less than ideal, though I confess that's how I have searched for mentors forever... of course, I was always looking for chem fits too.

For me it depends on what kind of player I'm dealing with. If it's on my own roster, it's affinity/ conflict first and foremost, then mentor and then red flag.

If it's a free agent, I probably want to know if he's a mentor or a red flag first, and then I'll get prompted on the affinity/ conflict thing when I actually try to sign him.

Ok, so it's clear that Personality/Leadership/Red Flag/Mentor are the "big four" here, varying depending on play style. I'll update the bug thread, and if that changes as more people post (which I seriously doubt,) I'll make another change.

I suspect that with this version I'll only pay much attention to Chemistry beyond "no conflicts, no red flags," in places where I have a QB with maybe 80+ Personality. I don't see it being worth the extra effort it's going to take.

Quick addition to this thread -- it would also be valuable seeing on the player card the player's chemistry status (not just his pers/leadership scores, but whether he's a leader, leader-in-waiting, afifnity, potential affinity, etc). That's present in FOF 7 and sadly absent in this game.

I figured that was what was being referred to with personality, but if not, yeah, 100% agreed

I'm sure many people use that as a deciding factor on which 23/34 stiff gets cut and which one stays at the end of preseason.

Color the size and combine scores please, here and in the roster list.
